"He makes a clearly false or even absurdly false claim, which draws the attention of the media. He then rides that wave until it comes time to call up another one."

I remember well back in the dubya/dickhead Reign of Error, that there were so many misleading statement, lies, up is down, white is black, that people gave up trying to keep up, verify all of it. And of course, there was some Repug WH worker drone who said, paraphrase, "Repugs don't care about reality, they create their own reality"
