View Full Version : If you could train for 4 years, what Summer Olympic sport would you have the best

chance to compete in?

You've got 4 years to devote 100% of your efforts to. I'd say the 200m dash but I'm too old for that.

I'm not trying to diminish any of the efforts of the actual Olympians, but I think my best chance would be the 10M Air Rifle.

You don't get to pick what would be fun. After your 4 years of training, you either make the Olympics or you get killed.

You should go with 200 men freestyle or the Dong jump

What about, Taecuckdo? Or Synccucknzed Swimming?

Also, don't forget the innuendos with rowing.

If the cox doesn't meet the requirements, they will have to carry a sandbag with the difference. Females can cox on men's teams (common) and males can cox on women's teams (rare).

The rower sitting closest to the stern is called the the stroke (in an 8+, he/she will be facing the coxswain); he/she is the one who controls (should control) the rhythm and change in rhythm of the boat. The rower sitting in the bow is sometimes called the bowman. The seats are numbered from the bow: bow (sometimes "1'), 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, stroke (sometimes called "8"). The coxswain is sometimes numbered as 9.

Wrestling.

My junior year of high school I was talked into wrestling our league heavyweight champ who went to my school. I held my own and was actually stronger. Bu, being a footballer my cardio was subpar compared to his. So after about 10 minutes of shoving each other around I had to concede, I was totally tuckered out.

I had been approached by the wrestling coachs a couple of times, I always...nay!

If I'd been in wrestling shape I think I could have beat the champ. I was always great at wrestling.

Who cares what you're talking about? I don't. Anyone who thinks he could run a sub 20.00 in middle school, hahahaha~~~~~~~~

You'd have to have been a 10.00 100m sprinter to run a sub 20.00. The HS record is 10.00.

I know that you don't start off at your top speed. So my second half of the 200 is faster than the first.

Pay attention dummy.

If ya want to predict what a 400m sprinter is capable of as far as times go, it's done like this.

200m PR times two, plus 4 (4 100m)

At 200m, it's that 100m PR times two.

Usain Bolt 9.58 times two...19.16, his 200m PR is 19.19.

In order to run a 20.00, you would have to be able to run a sub 10.10 100m, ya got it?

Let me guess, now you are confused, right?

Stupid, the fastest 200m ever ran by a high school kid is 20.09 by Noah Lyles. The Texas state record is 20.13 by Roy Martin. the Cali state record is 20.14 by Michael Norman. All thre of those kids could also run a sub 10.30 and split a sub 46.00 4x4 leg.

I get ya have no idea at all about anything having to do with any of this but it's fun showing off.

What happened is ya ran a 29 but all ya can remember is 20 something. In a distance no longer that 200m, a 29 vs a 20 is huge.

Dummy....I ran a 20.00 or faster as a kid.
Guy who can talk Lon Myers in the 1880's...."ha~~~"

This is a 20.00 looks like stupid.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bic1rOaS7mI

See the black guy in lane one, that is Larry Black, who runs a 9.3 yards and can split a 43.5 4x4 leg. Do you have any idea at all what is being said there?

Borzov ran a 10.07 100m that is a 20.14 200m. Now think just a little bit ya idiot., ok?
