Dave's first 4 albums (counting the Lillywhite Sessions as an album) are all great. Better Than Ezra is a solid band, especially their early stuff.

Any band that has a violin player sucks. Better than Ezra was one of those cookie cutter bands from the 90s like Goo Goo Dolls, Collective Soul and Gin Blossoms. You couldn't tell those bastards apart because they were all corporate.

Have you ever seen or heard Boyd play?! You're out of your freakin mind if you think THAT sucks.

Blind Melon - Blind Melon was solid.
I love midgetonadonkey's hostile takes, because he looks so anti-hostile in his avatar

I never said Better Than Ezra was anything more than a solid band. Hey, you're entitled to your opinion.
But as far as a violinist in a band...
One listen to The Stone is all I need for me to know it's right.

Purple. Hands down. Pretty Penny, Interstate Love Song, and best of all, Big Empty.

No love for Tiny Music? I've just recently revisited my STP collection and I can't stop listening to Tiny Music. Purple is great, a lot better than Core but there's something about Trippin on a Hole in a Paper Heart, Lady Picture Show and Big Bang Baby.

Damn, if Mookie thought it was gay, it must've been flaming beyond belief. Good thing I never saw it or I would have a totally different opinion of STP.

I thought tiny music sucked, saw that video, and declared myself a non fan of STP
Mookie owned tiny music and i made him watch that video, to this day he does not like that album anymore
It showed each band member in a tiny heart-shaped window (think brady bunch) and they all were giving each other sexual looks and holding hands and dancing in circles

Dude, nothing beat the video for Sour Girl off of their 4th album. They were in some fucked up muppet land with tripped out TeleTubies.

I liked that video too, and the video made me like that song. Plus i liked Sarah Michelle Gellar portrayed as a goth. I liked what I heard from that album more than their 3rd.

Damn I'm glad I never watched videos. I would probably hate every band I like after watching their videos. Good thing I grew up in a town that didn't offer MTV.
