Rumor has it Michelle Wie is turning pro today and already has several multi-million dollar endorsement deals in the works.

You know, you don't actually have to be caught trying to meet underaged girls to be busted for solicitation online anymore, Mookie... watch your steps. The Patriot Act is watching. :lol

Frenchman wants to play Women's British Open

SOTOGRANDE, Spain (AP) -- French golfer Jean Van de Velde will attempt to enter next year's Women's British Open because he is upset women may qualify for the 2006 British Open...

``I'll even wear a dress and shave my legs,'' said Van de Velde, who six years ago botched a chance for a British Open title in one of the great collapses in a major...

When asked to comment...Michelle Wie said...I don’t have a problem with it...I am sure he already wears a dress & shaves his legs...

I think someone already posted this some time ago:

The Ladies' Golf Union finalises Gender Policy
01.03.2005

The Ladies' Golf Union has finalised a Gender Policy Document which is now an integral element of the Conditions of Competition for all championships run under the auspices of the LGU .

This new policy has been drawn up in accordance with the Gender Recognition Act 2004 and the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 and seeks to secure the concept of fair competition for all women golfers. Now, in addition to players who are 'female at birth' a player who has had the female gender assigned at some later stage will be permitted to take part in LGU competitions, provided proof of gender can be provided.

The policy document lays out in detail the method by which 'proof of gender' must be provided and allows for an appeals procedure should there be a dispute.

"It has taken a considerable time to finalise the Gender Policy document and we are convinced that we have a document that is fair to all," said Andy Salmon, CEO of the Ladies' Golf Union.

"I do not believe that there will be any great effect on our championships but for one or two individuals our Gender Policy will now present them with a realistic opportunity of competing at the top level of amateur or professional golf."

The whole argument is physical build. Men are stronger and can drive the ball further, so they let women play because they basically have no shot at winning, unless you get some testosterone pumped girl playing.

Actually Golf is one sport that is pretty even.

Hank Kuehne blasts the ball 350 everytime, but damn if he aint in the rough, chipping sideways, and hitting for bird 180 out.

Sorenstam I think the week she played was just overwhelmed by the stupid media.

Had she played a couple times before, she couldve won that tournament.

All it takes to win on the PGA tour is to have a bitchin short game.

If your game 100 and in, is perfect, your gonna go low, and win.

Why do you think the Europeans always win the Ryder Cup, they always have great short game players and great putters.

IMO, wie shouldve waited till 18 to turn pro, but its her choice, and I hope she does great.

I think IMO it would be smart by the LPGA to grant her full season privelages, because that would revive the tour, and get lots of people to their tournaments.

Also, Michelle Wie isn't "Testosterone Laden"

And she blasts it about 320 everytime. Thats right folks, from the gold tees, with the BOYS.

You dont need big muscles to blast the hell out of the golf ball.

You need swing speed and more solid contact with the sweet spot.

That increases distance.
