NBA referees will more closely monitor hits to the groin area this coming season as well as travel calls on the perimeter.

The NBA has termed hits to the groin as "unnatural acts" and are a point of emphasis after Draymond Green was involved with multiple instances in the playoffs.
Green has a habit of flailing his arms and legs.
Joe Borgia, the NBA senior vice president of replay and referee operations, said players are no longer just swinging their arms in attempt to draw a foul when taking a shot.
"Now all of a sudden legs are coming out in different directions at weird times, they're coming higher," he said. "Well, for the protection of the players, we're going to stop it."

The attention came from Draymond Green but obviously Ginobili took I think an infamous knee to the gonads that had him out for about a month.

Does the same rule apply to the WNBA?

Translation: Referees to penalize scrubs more often for hits to the groin, while still looking the other way when Gaymond does it because of the name on the front of his jersey.

For some reason I suspect they're going to overlook Zaza Pachulia...
