This right out of LINDY'S.

One of the most accurate kickers in NCAA history. Dependable, loves to try pressure kicks.

It's worse than you think, tbh.

We TRADED UP to get him in the 2nd round. Traded a 3rd round pick and a 4th round pick to move up a few spots.

That's brutal. Could've used those picks on defenders. Never enough good defenders, especially in a division with high octane offenses.

It was a hell of a pick, all things considered.

And he's still there. The Raiders also picked Ray Guy in the first round, and he's in the hall of fame, so they're the undisputed king of drafting kickers. Jason Hanson was in Detroit for like 20 years. Aguayo looks like the real deal, so it's a great pick for them if he has a career like some of those other guys.

with jameis at qb, you need a great kicker, so it makes sense. :lol

JohnnyMax

He is not the most accurate kicker in college history. He is #3:
1. Brett Baer* 90.00 2009 2012 Louisiana-Lafayette
2. Alex Henery* 89.47 2007 2010 Nebraska
3. Roberto Aguayo* 88.46 2013 2015 Florida State

Baer wasn’t drafted and never kicked in the NFL. Henery was drafted by the Eagles in the fourth round and isn’t considered an elite kicker, if he is even still kicking.

:lmao WHAT?

Yeah, whoops. Clearly I don't follow the Bucs. Sorry.

I watched him at FSU. Didn't follow his struggles since being drafted, and totally should have realized this was a 20/20 hindsight thread. I just thought someone was wondering why a team would draft a kicker that high. As a Raiders fan, you should be able to explain it. I wouldn't bother trying to someone to OP how draft picks don't guarantee performance, though.

You could see the fear in his eyes and the special teams coach was on his ass during that timeout. Funny shit. Good for him that he made the game winner. Didn't make up for the 2 that would've made this game winner moot.

i mean it kinda made up for it in that they won the game

I can only shake my head.

Steve Largent was let go, he was just too slow to play wide receiver at the pro football level.

After three seasons we were hearing this..."he's a bust"...that was O.J. Simpson.

The Steelers cut John Unitas.

The Giants cut Don Maynard....HOFer as is all those mentioned above.

Would you rookies stop freaking out over a game, a few games? My God people, sheesh~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

GIVE THINGS SOME DAMN TIME~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hall of Famer

Despite an All-American career at the University of Tulsa (http://www.spurstalk.com/wiki/University_of_Tulsa), Largent was not selected until the fourth round of the 1976 NFL draft (http://www.spurstalk.com/wiki/1976_NFL_Draft) by the Houston Oilers (http://www.spurstalk.com/wiki/Houston_Oilers) (117th pick). After four preseason games, he was slated to be cut, but was instead traded to the expansion Seattle Seahawks (http://www.spurstalk.com/wiki/Seattle_Seahawks) for a 1977 eighth-round pick.

It's bad. One year career.........that's it.

The real question is will another team give him a shot?

the REAL question is, why would they? there are a ton of mediocre kickers available. what makes him special? if anything he's mentally shattered

Nobody keeps two kickers though and they already have a #1.
