What would you do? Let it play out? Eat a shotgun shell?

I'd probably wait until my quality of life started to go then go full Hunter S. Thompson. I'd definitely try heroin.

You don't know until it comes. Then every day you'll change your mind. You'll have good days and bad days, then you'll have really bad days. I think once you give up on cure or living just another day you'll start to think of the alternative, and unless the pain is unbearable you'll stick it out, but with enough pain you'll want the drip increased until your brain is jelly.

I'd probably just bang hookers and shoot heroin.

Cancer? I'll try to tough it out since I'll have a shot. ALS? Fuck that. That's one of my worst fears. Just give me a bullet.

Someone once told me that if you drink alkaline water, cancer cannot grow in your body... so I'd probably just do that.

I'm kidding of course... except for the part that somebody actually told me that.

Not as dumb as someone who told me people get cancer because they don't pray enough.

I would let them try everything on me. It would suck, I would still die, but the world would have a touch more evidence about what works, what doesn't, and how much of either. That's the only way those diseases will ever get cured.

Something in the back of my mind says that they have already found cures for a lot of these diseases but since the so called "treatments" they use give them such a profit in the health care and pharmaceutical industry they will never release them for usage.

I saw what lung cancer AND Alzheimer's did to my mom. No way I'm living like that or allowing myself to become a burden to my wife.

Well that's also why natural disasters happen to 3rd world countries. When they happen in the US it's just nature.

Someone told me they don't wear their seat belt because they want to be thrown clear of the accident. They heard someone was once.

Cancer took my mother also, and look what it did to the Lakers.

I'd only go full HST if I was his age, clearly in the golden years, and I'd still try to fight it until I knew the time was nigh that I would not be able to take matters into my own hands.
