As I just mentioned in another thread, I think Herman would have been a lock for LSU if not for Strong shitting the bed this season. Now that his dream job looks like it's going to be available, I doubt he ends up in Baton Rouge. That's not a knock on LSU at all - it's a great job that will attract lots of great coaches. It's just that it's been an open secret for a while now that Texas is Herman's dream job.

Tulane came back from an early two TD deficit to win at UMass to get halfway to bowl eligible, and South Alabama plays their best home game ever since they started in 2009 to win easily against a ranked San Diego St. At 3-2, they will be favorites in their next 4 games before traveling to LSU in November. They could easily get to 8-9 wins if they overcome their inconsistencies.
