View Full Version : Where does Tony Parker rank in the best PGs of all-time debate?

Paul's played 22 win teams his whole career and hasn't hit 45 points in a game. That's great he had 20 assists against the 9-18 Pelicans. Really?, taking who scored more points in one game as parameter to compare two players?. You're more biased than TGY. You're out of your mind if compare Tony with Paul. Tony is a better slasher, but Paul is better playmaker and defender, and have much more IQ than Tony.

Awesome, Parker had a 55 point game. Paul has never even hit 45.
:lmao There really is no difference at all between Porker stans and Kobe stans.

Hey look CP3 had 19/6. Triple the points, double the assists, and up the FG% and that would be comparable to Parker's 55 point game.

Tony would never rank top15 in "all time" lists for the same reason Manu would never.
They both played with Tim Duncan.
Chris Paul never had such a dominant big man and another sidekick like Tony and Manu always have, and he will come down to be remembered as a better player than both Tony and Manu.
On Tony´s case, he was never able to find any success when Manu was down, or Tim was Down. While Tim and Manu eliminated OKC at home down 6 at halftime, when both had like 40 years.

Hahaha Spurs would have had another ring if anyone but Strickland was handling the ball in that G7.
That's a jump.
But I said on a Pop team. I'd take prime Strickland (under control) over prime Parker. Much better passer. And still great at getting to the rim. Not as quick as Parker. But he would have been perfect for the beautiful game.
Not to mention, he was superior on defense and rebounded better.

This is one of the biggest bonehead player fan arguments on here.
Realist: Parker is getting slower. He's not a great passer and not a prolific 3 point shooter. He's not going to get better.
Parkerfan: Fuck you. He knows the system and has shot better from 3 than at any point in his life.
Realist: He doesn't take that many 3's. Unless he's wide open. Plus his defense sucks.
Parkerfan: Have you seen his dribbledribbledribble?

he's top 20 for sure. Definitely not top 10. If people want to put him top 10 for having 4 rings, where do Sam Jones rank at SG for with his 10 rings? I've never seen anyone put him in the top 10 of sgs all time.

I prefer to count the rings. Paul = zero rings. Tony = 4 rings and a Finals MVP.
