they know what they're doing now. Russell is calling players out pointing to spots on the floor everybody looks in agreement, and then they run a set play that either nets them an open shot or a handoff for a fast break. They look 100% better

high pace offense means u better hit those shots, and u better have good rebounders to pounding theboards on those miss shots and players good enough to run back on transition defense...

A quick pull up three by a terrible shooter; good to see Kobe rubbed off on him, tbh.

He is going to be our leader - for better or for worst. Luke said so himself. He'll have a green light every night ala Dame, Lowry, etc. Some nights he'll look spectacular, others not so much. Had he played more than 24 minutes, he was going to drop 40 on Mudiaye.

They play the Nuggs again in Pepsi Center in a couple days. I want to see Russell do it again, against the same player. Mudiaye will be pumped up, especially in that altitude at home. We'll see.

LkrFan

I'm OK with that for now. People who relentlessly attack the paint all the time expose themselves to potential injury. Just look at Kobe.

He is stronger in his base. He was posting players up in SPL with relative ease. I suspect we'll see more of that as the season wears on. He'll abuse midget PGs like CP3 or Dame or Steph in the post. Now guarding them on the other end will be another story :lol

"Yes, all is forgiven and things are right again, but..."---"Can it ever really be right again? Lakers Fans canvassed Mitch Kupchak, team GM to not cut Nick Young. More than canvassing they demanded it. And to his credit Nick has sworn on a tall stack of Bibles that he'll behave himself, that he's learned his lesson this time. And I for one believe him (I'll just bet you do.). But, beyond all that business will Nick & Russell ever be able to put aside what happened last season? To be really honest I don't know. Let's talk when either the Spurs or Lakers win their next title. As I stated earlier, the Lakers will win their 17th before the Spurs win their 6th. And whenever either of those two happen the Lakers will either be tied for best overall or sitting comfortably on the 2nd place perch. Where were you when the Spurs won their most recent title? Oh that's right, you got offended and left.

It's always about this season, always. Last year is gone, get over it. You've been in the poor house for 4 consecutive years and you're going on 5. Last time we saw you in the post season we kicked the living shit out of you. You've not been back. We'll be watching a competitive team and you'll be watching Jeanie Buss leave a snail trail all over the Staples Center for the next however many years and each year will begin with all the Lakers be@ners pretending this is the year, until January.

Nope. I retired and was busy building a home.

You comment that it's all abut this season and last year is gone and to get over it then follow that directly with smack about the previous four years. BRILLIANT!!!!! :lol

There is one winner and 29 losers. Our boys have been the winner 16 times. Yours 5. That is it. Period.

I would much rather watch a young core of players develop and play an exciting style of basketball than watch the snooze fest that is the Spurs anytime. And as I said, the Lakers will win their 17th before the Spurs win their 6th. Kind of like the article the other day asking sportswriters who they would miss most of the big three who retired (Kobe, Duncan, KG). A couple picked Kobe, a couple picked Duncan and I think one picked KG. The best line of all was one of the guys who chose Kobe. I'll paraphrase here since i have no desire to find it. "Although TD had a more consistent career I will miss Kobe the most because regardless if he had a bad night or a good night it was always exciting. I could not name five exciting moments from TD in a 20 year career". Couldn't have said it better myself.
