They have never had a stud QB.

John David Crow their Heisman winner (who got his butt cut off in his rookie card) was...good...in his day. Ernest Jackson/Greg Hill were also ....good.

Bobby Joe Conrad who played with Crow at A&M and with the St. Louis Cards was a good receiver.

But....you won't find any Aggies among the top ranked QB/RB/WR in the NFL.

They did have Curtis Dickey the fastest RB ever to play pro football, not a gifted runner however.

I know he’s had ups and downs, but know he’s worked with several NFL QBs while a college coach, so, I’m excited to see him and Khalil Tate. But obviously he wasn’t enough for A&M to compete and he had a lot of transfers, but recruited well, especially in Arizona. I know he was wanted by USC and wanted USC at one point, but timeline of wants didn’t align to end up there.

Hopefully we get 3/4 seasons of ultra competitive, hungry to work hard and succeed Sumlin desperate for another big job, but ultimately leaves Arizona in better spot than Rodriguez.

I actually anticipate him cashing out after that and upgrading. PAC-12 will be down for a few years after losing all the QBs and Oregon sucking, so I can see Sumlin and Tate putting up amazing stats, winning 9+ games multiple years in a row, maybe making a PAC-12 Title game, then him going to USC or even Oregon when each realizes it needs a change of direction.
