I have seen him joking more and smiling more; doesn't sound like much but that's a huge step in the right direction of controlling the huddle/locker room.

Nice read!
He has been so patient, steady and utilitarian in his growth. If him talking leads to more wins, he is on it.
Such a classic Spur!

“Before, Pop had to put in plays for him or Tony (Parker) had to call the play for him. Now he understands the offense and where he gets his looks.”

:lol and some are still in the business of Tony does not want to share the ball with Kawhi.... Him and Pop are the ones who called the specific plays for him since the beginning

:lol hilarious tbh

I'd take Danny still Spurs player drama free word over retired angry underachiever Stephen I screwed up Jackson any time of the day twice if needed :lol

Quite a good week tbh.. Manu acknowledges he does not want young guys to flourish, Parker getting praised by Kawhi and Danny just confirming what we already know... Tony is a great leader who saw with Pop first that Kawhi needed to be more involved thus Kawhi being assisted heavily by Tony and Tony telling everybody give the fucking ball to Kawhi, he is the ONE bunch of selfish pricks...

His rise to super-stardom has been really unconventional: from 3&D hopeful to a bonafide MVP contender in 5 years time :wow

IMO we are only going to see the final, full, peak package of Kawhi for a year or two between age 29-30 just like Hakeem-- health-permitting..

Only Pop and Parker were calling plays for him...Since Pop wasn't on the court and couldn't call every play, who was the responsible for not giving Kawhi the ball and the touches that his games deserved in the previous seasons?

After Danny's words, we know the answer.
