He looks awful out there...
Trying too hard on offense and just poor defensively.

Protected 2nd round pick.
Trade him to Philly or Milwaukee.

I remember Reggie Miller on national tv said he was a good defender. Realgm fans took that as law. :lol

By God, do we need an Isaiah Thomas, or a Billy King to abuse right now... And then we hired the guy who drafted one of the Cleveland Cavs worst high, first round selections, moving forward. We're definitely on the right tracks to success...

Of course the Spurs need athleticism but he isn't exactly a defensive-minded/athletic player capable of doing things on that end.
Sadly, he hasn't shown improvements in these preseason games.

I remember De Colo, so I am thinking someone of that type.
A protected second round pick like the one Spurs gave away for Ray Mac?
If they are going to do that, they need to do it now, while he's coming from having played 800 minutes in a 67 win team last season and having had some highlights in SL.
I tend to think he will be here still. I mean I haven't been following that long, but Pop has praised him and encouraged him so much. I am wondering at what point Pop's vein will finally snap.

Not much.
Maybe sign them to a 10 day contract to get some inside Spurs info.

Just waive him now and open the roster spot. If they're lucky, some team will claim him and get his salary off the payroll.

I'd take a 2nd rounder for him and then keep Garino or sign a decent big man who gets waived sonewhere else

He's not worth a second rounder at this point...he's terrible.
He had Jeff Ayres hands today...

Spurs rarely do the season-around-the-corner trades..Though, If this team stumbles out of the gate a la 2014-2015 and the bench continues where it left off in the Thunder series, him and Kyle will be the obvious target for PATFO to move in a minimal shake-up attempt...Only other guy i could see them dangle is probably Mills especially if they are not planning on paying him..

With Laprovittola and Forbes having a strong preseason, as much as I like Patty, I'd consider trading him too -- but only for the right deal.
Hypothetical: Patty, Kyle, Livio for Noel and Covington or Grant would work for me. Sixers are not going to get fair trade value for Noel since this is the last year of his rookie deal. He's on pace to receive an offer close to the max and that's something most teams may want to shy away from or not give up significant pieces/assets for.
I'd then just waive Simmons or trade him to Bucks for a protected 2nd rounder.
PG: Parker/ Laprovitolla / Murray
SG: Green / Manu / Forbes
SF: Kawhi / Covington or Grant / Garino
PF: Aldridge / Lee / Bertans
C: Gasol / Noel / Dedmon

Forbes has Mill's replacement written all over him. If this scenario could play out the Spurs improve the SF and center rotations and a post rotation of Aldridge, Gasol, and Noel would give the Warriors real problems.

Well already he's getting compared to Dayers in this thread.
Better get comfortable bc he will be here all season.

Best case scenario he pulls it together just enough to help... or midseason he's traded or waived for some help.

There has to be a team with an attractive offer for a RFA like Noel especially if they have had difficulties attracting free agents.
