This was funny can totally see a variation of all of these.
You have to add something about Lee being done in Today's NBA
Deadman walking...
Mills defense
Simmons wtf TO moments,
The Spurs have to open against the Warriors, while the defending Champions get to play the damn Knicks. Blatant schedule manipulation by that fucking Adam Silver.
They stuck us with the same refs that fucked us in the WC Semis last year.
Of course the Warriors are going to win when they let them use those moving screens on every play.

Previous loyalty to the team. Its the old i scratch your back and you scratch mine. Manu has left sizeable money on the table on two occassions.
Its good karma and an obvious confirmation that the culture created by patfo with the cornterstones of this modern era is like a family.
Sure, non longterm players like baynes, joseph, boban have chased that paper because they got offers they just couldnt pass up, but manu and tim have sacrificed for a greater chance of success. Its a beautiful and rare thing which should get rewarded.
I can handle one year of manu getting overpaid for over a decade of being the perfect competitor and a selfess teammate

Eh, I disagree tbh. Dude was about to sign with Philly (so much loyalty lol) until RC decided to bring him back so we can fill some seats.
About the pay cuts part, the only year he made a low salary was last year tbh.

I'm fine with it. Maybe the Spurs have a chance to surprise the Warriors, who will probably take some time to get things clicking. If not, it's just 1 loss in an 82 game season, and no one should realistically take anything from it because it's first game of the season for both teams.

Low salary isnt the barometer. The pertinent question is did he sign for less than market value on more than one occassion. The answer is yes.
From 2005 through 2015 - manu wasnt a journey man or scrub deserving of a low salary and hence the reason those werent low salary deals.
Manu was capable of earning a near max level salary from 2005 to 2010. Yet you seem to expect him to have signed for the vet minimum. He is selfess and all but he isnt retarded. Give him some credit.
Much like sprewell, he has a family to feed. :lol
I seriously doubt he would have signed with philly. Thats a what if game i dont partake in so im not concerned with that.

I think that having the first game against probably the best team in the NBA is a good thing.
Assuming they are the best, they are gonna beat the spurs more times than the spurs will defeat them.
So, when do the Spurs have more chances? Well...game 1.
Having said that, the Spurs shouldnt have traded Paul George!

Speaking of meltdowns I went to the Chernobyl museum this week in Kiev. When that reactor was sinking into the earth in 1986, they ended up sealing it off in a "sarcophagus." It was relatively easy to put sides and tops on it, but in order to build the bottom of the sarcophagus they had coal miners dig a tunnel underneath a freakin' sinking nuclear reactor that was giving away radiation 100 times that of the Hiroshima bomb. It was so hot in the tunnel that many of the coal miners, being relatively uneducated worker-types, took of their radiation suits to prevent heat stroke. It goes without saying that every guy that took of a suit died within a month's time of radiation poisoning. But they got that bottom built to seal the whole thing off.
I now return you to your "Durant is a freakin' bastard/Kyle sucks" preemptive postgame meltdown. Just remember its not as bad as being in a 140 degree tunnel with a haywire nuclear reactor 40 meters above you and sinking fast.

You still going back to Uruguay frequently? We went to Costa Rica about three weeks ago - primarily the Central Valley. Absolutely fantastic! I'm ready to move! Also just returned from Kentucky - some nice color, but a little early. Color is probably better where you are.
