What an embarrassment.

Tony Parker Accepting Evolving Role With Spurs (http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/243561/Tony-Parker-Accepting-Evolving-Role-With-Spurs)
"It's been great," Parker said of his changing role. "I love my role, and I'll try to do the best I can this year to keep winning games. You know, we won 67 games last year. We’ll try to do the same thing and go further in the playoffs. As long as [Gregg Popovich] is happy, that’s my main job here. I don’t care if people don’t understand my role or all this stuff I have to do now.”

No it wasn't. Not even close. Kawhi started running towards the wing anyway. Idk why people love to make stuff out of nothing here

No it was Kyle Anderson telling Parker to keep on dribbling and it was Pop yelling at KA to STFU and let him coach.

What? Difference this time was that Kawhi quickly asked for the ball but Pop was already waving his hands.

We need LakerHater in here to provide some proof.

Maybe im misremembering but Pop was nowhere near as demonstrative

No he wasn't because Kawhi was already asking for the ball. But was starting to losing it at Tony's, even waiving his hands.

Anyway, Pop wasn't the issue here. Was Tony Parker not recognizing the new Alfa like if it was pre-2013 era.

Actually, Pop also lit Tony up on a play he was supposed to give the ball to LMA, and eventually did so late. I remember pointing it out in the game thread and a couple guys laughing it up.

Like elnono said, it was for not passing to LA. As in he should of passed it sooner. The pass was there for so long. I was screaming at the tv , then pop yelled. My first thought after was . Evolving .

I thought the same thing - Pop was like "give him the fucking ball"!. He passed it and Kawhi nailed the jumper. Even Sean Elliott pointed it out.

Thnx to LakerHater we got some input about Tony's behavior. In this case he didn't want to give the ball to LMAhttps://i.imgbox.com/As9SBTGT.gif

Lack of court vision or awareness. Thanks for sharing.
Sometimes the window of opportunity that someone is open is very small and if you don't move the ball quickly those opportunities are lost.... I think in general Pop wants Tony to make decisions quicker with the ball.

He was pointing away from the play b/c he was covered. That's not uncommon in basketball.

Pops preparing Kawhi to get into the ball decision situation early on the season, make him demand the ball more. On the same note, I notice Simmons bringing down the ball more, hopefully to get him more comfortable with the ball in his hands as a playmaker

To get him used to passing to Kawhi since Parker wont do it.

Parker better get used to this diminished role, otherwise he will be unhappy all season. His job this year is to facilitate first and foremost, then when needed, take over for 2-3 possessions here or there mid game.

He just rarely looks genuinely happy for anyone else. Even on Simmons dunk against GS, he was the only one that had zero reaction to the play.

Well to be fair he rarely gets pumped even for something HE does

It's just the way he is I guess

I can't believe he's still open at this
moment in the series. They are still trapping
me and doubling Timmy and Danny
is still wide open.

Simmons was clearly pointing at LA as if saying: "dude, Aldridge is open."

BTW, whats the chance of Parker not feeling utilised enough that he wants a trade?

To be honest, It must be extremely demoralizing as an ex-offensive option to be shouted at and screamed at...to give the ball to another player.

That shit must be embarrassing specially when all his teammates can see it. :lol

It is similar to when the General Manager (baseball) take you out of the field in the middle of an inning after making an error :lol
