It's pretty early in the season, but we already have a leg up... I do think, especially since Tim isn't playing anymore, we should go after it this year... we seem to be dominant in the playoffs and win the championship every time we are #1 overall (not just in the west) 3-0 in the Pop era. Also we will need HCA over the Warriors and Clippers (remember 2015) and Cavs as well. I think it's a very important factor that will determine who wins the championship, so Pop should go hard after it. No excuse to punt games when your best players are in their prime (sans Gasol and Manu).

You see how the rest of the conference plays out and adjust accordingly. Last year, there was no hope of grabbing HCA. This year? Probably not but whining knows

But you don't needlessly exert yourself on the fourth game in five days. Be smart about it.

Yeah, I don't want to see a lot of thrown games this year where Pop rests three starters or some shit. This could be the best thing about Tim retiring, as Pop doesn't have the "old" excuse anymore. And I agree that HCA is critical when there are juggernauts like Cleveland and GS.

Didn't you say the Spurs win 45 games like 1 month ago? You can't use this thread later fuck face. You already made your prediction. :lmao

NOt gonna happen. This team will finish behind Warriors and Clippers tbqh. NO need to chase meaningless regular season when this franchise has more HCA playoff chokes than anyone. rather get to the post season without peaking yet like the spurs of old

It'll be interesting to see how the CLips match up with us this year. Who do we hide Pau on against Blake/Jordan? Might have to play a lot of Dead Man against them.

it IS a rather poor matchup for the spurs tbqh... maybe the worst in the league. Poop doesn't help with his always terrible hacking strategy of course

At this rate I wouldn't be surprised to see the Clips win the best record.

I don't care about HCA, but the #1 seed is going to be crucial, just to avoid a Clippers or Warriors 2nd round matchup..

The drop off from the top 3 to 4th is huge, tbh..

Won't happen. Popovich tries to throw at least 8 games a year

Would be hilarious to see the look on Choke-P3's face if the Cripples had to play the Duds in the 2nd rd.:lol

In any case, Rose won the MVP over LeBron b/c the Bulls finished w/ a better record than the Heatles (Boozer/Noah/Deng might be a better supporting cast than LMA/Pau/Danny).

Pau would have to get benched early & just feast on Speights w/ the second unit.
