Harold Abrahams GB was the WORLDS FASTEST HUMAN, he had won the 1924 Olympic 100m (Chariots of Fire....movie). So in the 4x1 relay the idea was to have him run te first leg, yep, get a good lead.

The USA had a high school kid named Francis Hussey, he was there to just run the leadoff leg. Yep, ya guessed it, he totally destroyed the WORLDS FASTEST HUMAN, he gave the USA a solid two meters advantage and that's about what we won by. The next season he enrolls at Syracuse (Jim Brown, Larry Csonka, Ernie Davis, Floyd Little)
