I appreciated the spinoffs as well I should have included them into AC2 since they follow the Ezio storyline. AC4:Black Flag was amazing and definitely makes my honorable mentions.

I still haven't played that one yet. So far I have played AC1 (sucked), AC2 (amazing), AC Brotherhood (amazing), and AC Revelations (pretty good). I'll probably pick this series up again when I grab a GTX 1070 so I can max out Unity and Syndicate, though 3 and 4 should be no problem with my GTX 970.

Don't skip AC3 it is quality, but AC4 blows it out of the water with the naval combat and underwater missions.

No doubt. The graphics were awesome by the standards at the time. Especially considering how deep the game was.

1. Counterstrike - The game that single-handedly created the "realistic" competitive FPS shooter. One of the most complete, balanced, intricate multiplayer experiences of all time, with a skill ceiling nearing infinity.
2. Final Fantasy VI Still the greatest FF in my eyes, along with perhaps the most incredibly detailed storyline in gaming history, especially the 16-bit era. A masterpiece of storytelling with graphics that were incredible not just for RPGs but across all spectrums of the day.
3. Half Life 2 It simply revolutionized what people thought about FPS games again. Half Life 1 redefined the complex narrative in a first-person game, HL2 perfected it.
4. Mass Effect Science Fiction on a scale rarely done as well by gaming or even Hollywood. The original Mass Effect might not have had the best combat in the series, but the universe was far more open and the sense of exploration was more novel.
5. Fallout 3 Another example of a game that breathed life into the sci-fi genre. While there was nothing too unprecedented about dystopian futures, Fallout 3 really excelled at pushing the sense of impending doom into the story.
6. Zelda So hard to define the pinnacle of this series most would point to Ocarina as the truly revolutionary game, but it is a standard that no other group of games has been able to meet.
7. Chrono Trigger A better, more intricate battle system than FFVI with a plot that allows you to time travel? Top it off with one of the greatest soundtracks in videogame history, and Squares ability to create unique experiences in-game to tell the story, CT is close to flawless.
8. League of Legends The most successful multiplayer game of all-time, with attendance numbers and demand that rivals that of NFL games. The incredible teamplay and tenacious competition are both its biggest selling point and its primary factor holding it back from perfection, as the MOBA genre is perhaps the most toxic in all of gaming.
9. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare The modern FPS standard. With a playerbase on PC that is still active, and future iterations that are critically lauded, its CoD4s balance and single-player story that really set it apart, treating players to one of the greatest FPS campaigns in history.
10. Rocket League Somewhat of a surprise, but Psyonix has completely perfected its game of multiplayer car-soccer. The superior controls of this game allow for such highly-crafted skills, its incredibly enjoyable to improve and watch your car take flight to score a goal.
Honorable mentions: Starcraft I/II, Resident Evil 4, Goldeneye, Civilization V, Super Mario Kart, NBA/NFL 2k series, Tecmo Super Bowl...
I also haven't played TLoU or Witcher 3 yet.

I've played 99% of JRPGs from the PS1and PS2 days, plus Skies of Arcadia and I can tell you FF has always beenassively overrated.
Except for FF9 (best FF game) the other hyped FFs have always been comparatively poor than some of its masterpiece competition like Suikoden 2, Skies of Arcadia etc...
Just a good job of marketing their game..Otherwise, I dont even think FF7 is a top PS1 JRPG classic.
1. Suikoden
2. Grandia
3. FF9
4. Chrono Cross
5. Vargant Stories.
- Grandia had by far the best battle system I can remeber.
- FF9 is probably the most rounded JRPG i have ever played.
-Every other JRPG story compared to Suikoden is 3rd grade art and Suikoden a Van Gogh

Emulate is with ePSXe. It's a great emulator that can run on any reasonable PC. If your computer is 10 years old or less it and has a graphics card (or a CPU with any kind of reasonable integrated graphics) it should be way more than enough to run PSX games really well. I mean all they recommend is a card with 64MB of VRAM, which is 2002 level shit.

Here is a good video showing how to set it up in case you're having any problems with it, though ePSXe is pretty easy to get running for an emulator (now the Dreamcast emulator is the biggest pain in the ass to setup). It works great with my 360 controller and some of the plugins can really improve the graphical quality vs the original PS1.

PCSX2 is awesome, I love playing the old God of War games on it at 1080p and 60 fps. The only game I have tried yet that doesn't run well is Shadows of the Colossus, that shit is at about 40 fps. The only bad thing about PCSX2 is it requires a strong cpu, it's way tougher to run than ePSXe.
