He retweeted this Bleacher Report article about his impact, how Pau's defence is lacking, and how he deserves more minutes.

It's subtle but the organisation surely wouldn't appreciate him endorsing an article which throws his teammates under the bus and gives him praise.

He said no such thing. But he should be getting more minutes as the season progresses.

It is, Stephen Jackson says hello :)

He's becoming more foul-happy as time goes on. So that's going to be something he has to keep in check if he wants minutes.

If he can keep his fouling down, then he should definitely get more minutes. As Chinook said, I've also noticed that he's starting to foul more, so he needs to keep that in check if he wants more minutes.

Just 7 games in the season and Pau didn't close many of them, Dedmon will have more minutes...He just needs to be patient/keep improving.

Cut this scrub toxic cancer.
Do you realize that Boban won't come back...? :D

Thanks for sharing.
It carries beyond this season. If he plays well even within an 18 minute average, he's going to parlay that into a nice contract next off-season wherever it is, Spurs or elsewhere... He's going to earn his money in the postseason like Biyombo. Still a long way to go though....

Exactly, and that's what's kept him from getting big minutes in the past. He's very involved around the ball, as evidenced by his rebound rate and block rate but that leads to fouls too.

Rebound rate: Dedmon (22.1) is sixth to Bogut (25.7), Drummond, Howard, Chandler and Whiteside
Block rate: Dedmon (8.8) is first, with only Miles Turner close to him. Davis and Whiteside are 3/4

He's also 18th in DRtg and the only Spur to appear, so speaks volumes to how important his defense is.

Much criticism is always placed on those who say the system makes players. Dedmon being first in block rate only goes to show the ease of the position for someone able to flourish.

Not many leave the spurs and replicate their achievements.

Yeah I always felt we'd struggle to keep Dedmon.

Its a double edged sword really.

I really want Dedmon back. I absolutely hate his contract with the Player Option. I would have loved to have had him for 2 years and then paid him if he showed he was worth it.

He's looked good so far this season. He certainly should play at least 20 min a game. For some guys though, production drops with more minutes, so we'll see if it will for him.

What 3? Did he actually hit one? I turned off a couple of those blowout games, so if he did hit one, I missed it.

Dedmon can want more minutes all he wants, but that listless no name scrub doesn't deserve any. He should feel fortunate Popsickle even lets him see the court. If Popsickle wasn't senile Dedmon would be in Austin.

Should've chosen the Warriors instead if he wanted the big contract next year.

Well, he benched George Hill for those naked photos, didn't he?

It is also quite possible that Dedmon, most likely through his agent, has expressed that need for more minutes directly to Pop and the front office. I think he picked the Spurs over the warriors offer because of playing time.

The retweet went against the team, threw his team mates under the bus and kinda undermined Pop, like Deadman's like "Hey Pop, look at this, you're not doing the right thing"

I want to add something else;

this article is ridiculous!

Not only trashes Pau and Lee, which is a no-no, Pop does not tolerate players who think they should be playing over other players (Jackson, Neil).

but on top of that Dedmon is not

he [Dedmon] joins Dwight Howard and Hassan Whiteside as the only qualified players clearing 12 points, 14 rebounds and three blocks per 36 minutes.

He has 11.3 points, 12.9 rebounds per 26 minutes, and also has 6.4 fouls! Which means that at some point of the game he fouls out before then 36th minute mark, thus Dedmon, in reality, does worse than 11.3 and 12.9.

I don't think he will average double digits in points or rebounds anytime soon. UNLESS he, like many athletes have done, stay away from social media and more importantly focus on his training.
