Sure, But comparing incumbent numbers to a new candidate is far from apples to apples.

And of course, in 2012, Obama had just saved the auto industry, so Trump's populist message probably wouldn't resonate. But Obama will always be better than Trump. Hopefully not at being president, but yes at campaigning.

Obama had no problem getting voters out to vote. Millions of Berner's pretty much sealed Hillary's demise after the primaries when they refused to support her.
