I have a question for you.

I just got a bottle of Honey Liqueur from a buddy that visited a distillery up in Dallas.
I've never really had honey liqueur before. For those of you that have had it before, do you usually sip it as is or do you mix it with anything? It's 70 proof 35% ABV.

Just your thoughts.

It's not thick at all.

I'm guessing you would mix it with something. I know that's what people would do with the Jack Honey. Not sure what though.

They were giving out sample of Jack Honey and mixing it with Dr.Pepper. It was actually pretty good but I don't think you would want more than one because it was so sweet.

Leave it in your freezer, sip it straight after it's gotten nice and cold. That's what I would do tbh.

I still think vodka tastes like chemicals....also, did you ever see the 20/20 (I think that's what it was) about a decade ago where they had all the vodka hipsters that swore by their brand of choice (mostly grey goose) do a blind taste test and Smirnoff dusted the field?

That shit was hilarious. Vodka is disgusting whether Grey Goose out of the frosted bottle or Popov out the plastic one.

:lol also, you can just buy cheap ass vodka and run it through a brita filter a few times, and it will be better quality than the high end stuff.

I've tried it with Vitali (just about the shittiest vodka there is) and it definitely works, just know that the filter is absolutely destroyed after you do it :lol

You know alcohol is shitty when you have to do everything in your power to cover the taste just to drink it.

That's why I generally buy bourbon that's 12 years or older.

:lol Vodka is so gross.

:lol People who claim to like one label over another. That crap is distilled at an extremely high proof, filtered to hell and back, and watered way down to 80 proof to mask any scent or taste of the original grain. What you're left with is shit that tastes like purell.

I believe the barrel proof still is.

Last time I bought the small batch, it was no longer labelled 12 years. The barrel proof isn't either, but I have read it is still aged 12 yrs.

The 12 yr small batch was $28 (Oregon.) I think it still is the same price. Best $28 bourbon I have ever had. The barrel strength went from $50 to $60 recently.

The 23 yr cost me $200.

LOL no
My house is the spot where friends and family know they can come over and watch games, hang out, BBQ, etc. Since I don't lock up or hide my liquor to anyone, they usually bring bottles and beer for my beer fridge. I haven't bought a bottle of anything in a long while. I always have whiskey, vodka, rum and tequila on hand.
