I'd have to say Firewatch is far and away my favorite indie game of 2016. The dialog is amazing and it has maybe the best story line of any 2016 release I have played. I'm also really enjoying The Witness. The puzzles are pretty fun so far. Mother Russia Bleeds and Unravel look promising, as does Inside, but I haven't played them yet.

Inside was great, but a bit short, IMO

Ah fuck, how could I forget No Man's Sky.. I have a spreadsheet for every planet I've found, it's fucking amazing how organized my gaming is

Isn't it supposed to be a sequel to Limbo?

No wonder it has the same kind of gameplay. This one isn't as deluded and masochistic as Limbo though.

You guys should check out Hollow Knight. Should be released soon, only $15. Played a preview at Day of the Devs in San Francisco. It's like a hybrid of Metroidvania with the atmosphere of Limbo.
