Jim Duncan did his job with 27 points

danny green got 16

The man who carried the Spurs for like 10 years Tony Parker did his job with 20 pts and 5 dimes

Boris Diaw did his job

Ginobili had 7 assists

but the #1 option was 5-13 with 13 points in a game 7 LMAO his opponent scored 17 pts hahaha career high maybe

Even so, it's still disturbing how easily the Dubs beat the Clips tonight given Curry and Durant had an off night.

I didn't watch the game but judging by the boxscores Draymond had a fluky game. 22 points on 80 percent shooting is an anomaly. I doubt he will play that well in a 7 game series and Blake will play as shitty as he did tonight evident by the boxscore. I have said it before but I will say it again I don't think the Warriors will win the championship this year. They are a flawed team that wins a lot of their games through their high octane offense. They remind me a lot like the D'Antoni Suns which is high scoring but no interior defense and bench. I feel those things will be exploited in a 7 game series. Just like those Suns teams they will win 60 plus games easily and then will flame out in the playoffs.

Hope you're right but that suns team never had a draymond green type defender. Maid Marion was overrated on defense, IMO. And you want to talk about fluke nights? It's much more likely Draymond can get 20 in the playoffs than the 20+ Simmons had on opening night.

I'm biased but in my eyes Draymond is a shit defender who is only effective due to the refs allowing him to get away with handchecking and grabbing. He should foul out every game but obviously that's not going to happen. Even with that being said Draymond can never be a great interior defender. You need height and length for that think about what Tim Duncan used to be for the Spurs or even last year Bogut. Draymond getting 20 points on 80 percent shooting is just as fluky as Simmons getting 20 considering Draymond is career 41 percent shooter. I'm perfectly fine with Draymond getting 20 points as long as he's shooting his career average because that makes it into an inefficient 20.

The Clippers are bullies. The Spurs have never reacted well to bullies. (That's why I like Bertans, a fiery guy and a great shooter to boot -- what a combo.)

Here's the thing about Draymond's shooting: Anything outside of 3 feet, you want to encourage him to take the shot. Last night, all of his 2P shots were dunks or put-backs. It's not surprising when any player shoots a high percentage on those shots. But he's not a dominant big man, who is in the middle creating all those dunks and put-backs. He's athletic, and he's on a team that spreads the floor like no other - so he's feasting. This year, he's shooting .166 on 2-pointers outside of 3 feet. And he's shooting .299 on his usually-wide-open 3-pointers. Put Draymond on just about any other team, and his offense get him maybe 5-7 points per night, most from clean-up duty on missed shots, and the occasional 3-pointer when the defense dares him to shoot.

That's just a fact. His career numbers say he can't shoot shit, unless he's right under the basket, or left alone at the 3P line. And even then, his 3P% is low enough that you live with it. So if he has 20+ on 80% shooting, you can bet that the other team was struggling to defend the perimeter, and letting him get free in the paint. So he goes 4-6 from the 3P line one night, instead of his normal 2-7, and yeah - he can shoot 80% and put up 20+ points. But if he was the SF on, say, the Clippers? He would totally be a fifth wheel on the offensive end.

Why does the box score cut off to not show Austin Rivers? Honestly I can't remember if that's the game he went off on us...

tbh we lost that series on a toss up shot by Chris Paul that was literally a quarter inch from being blocked by the DGOAT.

Also, that Clippers team would have seriously threatened Golden State that year had Chris Paul not gotten hurt in Game 7 vs. the Spurs. They were a really balanced team and Paul was playing fantastic...

I really doubt, after the series against houston, it is proven that they are just a regular season team, at some point they will fail

Paul was hurt for the entirety of THAT series vs. Houston... I've no doubt in my mind that LA takes that series with the level Paul displayed vs. Spurs prior to getting hurt.
