After beating Iowa State (3-2) in Ames for their first road win since joining the Big 12, the Bears are 4-1 with only an OT loss to A&M in College Station tarnishing their record.

A team only needs six wins to become bowl eligible. But they look to be wildly overmatched in each of their next five games, with a possible exception with Okie State in Waco in the final game of the season.

The Baylor schedule:

Sep 3 @SMU (Won 28-23)
Sep 10 v Samford (Won 48-14)
Sep 17 @Army (Won 20-10)
Oct 1 @Texas A&M (Lost 13-16, 1OT)
Oct 8 @Iowa St. (Won 23-13)
Oct 15 v Nebraska
Oct 22 @ Oklahoma
Oct 29 v Texas Tech
Nov 5 v Texas
Nov 12 @Missouri
Nov 19 v Oklahoma St.

Back to the Alamobowl for the Bears? Last time there were down here, Jarod Douglas gave his hometown crowd some excitment.

This pisses me off, I bet on Baylor today, but my bet did not register with my Sportsbook..

This sucks. I knew Baylor would cover the spread.

Nebraska was down 21-0 and they have come storming back to take the lead 28-27 for their Homecoming game.

This is just like the son's A&M Consol HS team winning last night against Kileen for their Homecoming game, after being down 21-0 also in the 1st Q after 3 turnovers...very weird indeed.

Yep, that Consol HC game was big news last night around here. Bryan had a lead and lost it, and the game, 22-21...

Texas HS Football, best ticket in sports!

I think they will get past OSU but that is it. 5-6 at Baylor though is still good enough, IMO, to get Guy Morriss the Coach of the Year award! :spin
