Damn straight. I've had okay to crappy experiences with barbers both male and female of all sorts of skin tones. The only one I've ever voluntarily done repeat business with is this little Vietnamese lady's shop. I can understand how women with super complicated needs have to form a deep, meaningful bond with their hairdressers. But I don't need layers or feathering or a fucking sundial installed in there. All I want is for all the hair on my head to become noticeably shorter so I don't need the whole damn GFE trying to make small talk while electric clippers are buzzing right in my ear. Her English is just good enough to understand things like "a little more off the sides" and that's about it. It's rare that I am not in and out of that chair in less than 10 minutes and I've never left there unhappy with the results.

This is actually the best advice. I use a local barber and it runs $12. It only takes about 10 minutes because they pretty much just use the clippers with different settings and then touch up with scissors. They have 3 different people in there and they're all decent. Every once in a while, they'll be in a hurry and mess it up a little. But I'm handsome so I can pull off a fucked up haircut. I'll just wear an extra gold chain or put on another henna tat.

My barber shop is a Mexican family owned place, but thats San Anotonio for you........ But yeah, It would be kinda weird/awkward walking into a black barber shop and asking for a cut (both for me and the barber I'm sure), not gonna lie.... :lol

I might do it (and film it) just to see how we all react to each other and the situation. :lmao

TBH, I don't think here in San Antonio there would be THAT much of a cultural difference compared to someplace like L.A. or New York barber shops. Then again that is me perceiving and projecting what I think about the culture in those cities. From my prospective, I think San Antonio is, over all, less racist than other major cities, which is probably totally wrong.

I googled some local shops and just tried to decipher by shop name which ones were black owned or white owned. I found one that's pretty close and was still open that evening so I decide to swing by. The way the entrance was set up you really couldn't see into the shop until you walked through a second door. To my surprise it was an all white barbershop, and the barbers were old as dirt to boot :lol the most Make America Great Again, All Lives Matters barber shop you can imagine, straight out of the 1950s :lmao

Everyone in the shop looked up at me. Complete silence. I made eye contact with the nearest barber for the longest five, awkward, seconds of my life.. then I turned and walked out. Didn't say a word. :lmao

Couple years later got my haircut cut at a white barbershop in the middle of some super affluent, suburban mall. First stroke of the clippers and the barber cut my hair backwards, fucked up my waves :lol and I knew from then on to never let anybody but a brother cut my hair.

The problem I have is I wouldn't make a very interesting video getting my hair cut... As white guys go, my hair style is pretty fucking bland (more than the usual white guy, I assume).... just trim it up on the sides, cut it short on top and comb it back. Nothing fancy. I dont think anyone could fuck it up, I could probably do it myself at home if I wasn't so lazy.
