I don't understand why he says green and ginobili. Kawhi and him was starter and backup...

I'm assuming he wanted to start and play ahead of both Danny and Manu.

Kawhi, Danny, Manu, & Jack were all Wings. Danny and Manu were both shooting better than Jack, FG% & 3-pt FG %.

I still hated to see Jack go. He kept them the last game in the OKC series loss.

I know, I thought he was fucking horrendous in the regular season and I was one of the biggest Stephen Jackson fans around. I'd been trying to get him back to San Antonio for 8 years. I was ecstatic when we no only traded RJ, but also got one of my favourite Spurs players ever back. That whole incident really pissed me off. I'm not as big of a fan of his as I used to be because of that whole thing. I used to love the guy and it felt like he screwed us over.

I really don't know if that is the true story, but if it was, he was crazy to say it after being one of the worst players in the entire NBA during that regular season. I still thought he could turn it around in the playoffs though as I felt he was always a playoff performer no matter where he played. He's done great for every team he's played for in the playoffs. Most of the time he rose to the occasion and played even better during the playoffs.

Yup,sjoulda kept him for the PO's that year,he would a put better numbers than the corpse of T-Mac lol.
Pop fucked that up big time, cut him right before po's with no viable option to replace him

Just the year before Sjax was the only player in the 50/40/90 club in the playoffs that's gotta count for something.
Honestly I don't think the Patfo ever planned on keeping Sjax,he was a byproduct of a huge salary dump in Jefferson and literally cost the Spurs nothing hell he saved them millions.Pretty sure they cut him asap without much cause.
Never forget him calling out the gutless worms in the OKC po series,
"If yer scared,go to church" lol he nailed 'em

Green was the more valuable player at the time and proved it by winning a title in 2014. Ginobili's longevity speaks for itself. Not like Stak stuck to another team after we cut him or anything.

Sure does. Managed to play horrible for an entire playoff run, not just a series. Consistency.

As I said, Jackson has been huge for his teams in the playoffs. Maybe he was done, but history of him stepping up in the playoffs was on his side. I don't think that they should have cut him when the replacement was useless.

Spurs (twice), Indiana, Goldenstate, Charlotte, no matter where he played, he performed for his teams in the playoffs. A lot of the time he raised his game in the playoffs. You can't say that about many players who aren't All-Stars in the league.

He probably dominated Danny/Manu in practice b/c he was a good post-up player & he had size on 'em. Danny wouldn't have been able to score on Jack unless he left him open & Evita was terrible that season so he was probably just as bad in practice.:lol

In any case, Danny was almost Finals MVP but Evita made a clutch shot against the Duds before he blew Gm 6.:bang

He was Horry-like, terrible all RS and incredible in the playoffs, one of the best non-superstars ever in the playoffs truthfully, a lot like Kerr but Jackson had it all: defense, shooting, scoring, flash, fight, tenacity.

I think 6 never happens if we had Jackson out there instead of fucking Neal.
