I actually just got around to starting it. Watched the first episode. Wasn't sure what the format was going to be but I enjoyed how they did it.

It ramps up quite quickly once you reach episode 3 or 4.... I like how they split between a "TV drama series" set in 2033 and beyond and then switch to "2016 theoretical physicists" who are realistically trying to make this happen.

I agree. It works well. I was somewhat aware of what SpaceX was doing but really had no idea if the extent until I started watching this. As I said, I'm only through 1 but I thought the production quality and acting were pretty good for something in Nat Geo. And considering it's half and half.
