Softridge is not getting as many rebounds because Gasol is statpadding on that end.

Gasoft barely boxes out. Despite the obvious counting Stats, Gasol has been the biggest culprit of most second chance points. He's just standing there all the time waiting for the rebound so it makes it really easy for opposing teams to catch offensive boards because his Head is always looking at the rim first after a shot.

It's super fucking stupid that this team is trying to tweak some things that can be for the benefit of the team i order to make 35+ year olds happy.

He's like a move ahead of stat padding in reboubds. It's part of the reason why his Rim Protection is non-existant.

When Guards attack him, he refuses to straighten his body up. Instead he positions his body in a way that would allpw him to get the rebound if the attacker misses instead of showing his body and hands. When you make an actual contest offer, the natural next step is tp box out that player...That's what Gasol is trying so hard to avoid. He's legit straling rebounds from other bigs by just being a lazy defensive player.
