Clippers turn into the monstars against us though. Then they turn around and lose by 40 to the Worriers.

Hello they lose to the Boogie less Kings but get a hard on to play us smh

deandre should average at least 12 FGA if they play us.

is this the year d'antoni beats pop?

There's something in LAC psyque that triggers once they're playing the Spurs. It's incredible. Avoid at all cost.

On the other hand Pop will run circles around Pringles.

I don't know if his shooting wrist is really "hurt" or if it's just because the playoffs are near, but Harden has been terrible over his last two games. Rockets are 0-2 over that stretch.

16-50 (32FG%), 17 assists, 12 TO

Going to be interesting what happens the rest of the way after he was taking subtle shots at Lebron and Kawhi for resting. Will his pandering to the media and his :cry Im a warrior :cry schtick backfire?

4-18 (15 pts)/ 6 TOs against the Dubs..

I could tell Playoffs are around the corner..Harden isn't any less of a "choker" than CP3 :lol..Between that, the bum wrist, and their lack of star power around him, give me the Rockets ..

yacht I think Harden and Westbrook really want the MVP above all else. Harden is dumb to not rest, very unDuncan thing to do and will cost him in playoffs.

Considering his struggles coincided with his wrist getting hurt, I think it's safe to say you're reading too much into it.

In general, from media to fans, there's way too much prisoner of the moment takes regarding this league nowadays . . .

Leonard is playing at an unsustainable level for a stretch = MVP?

Leonard inevitably experiences regression to the mean = Not in the discussion.

Spurs blowout Cavaliers = Are Spurs NBA's best team?

Warriors overcome 22 point deficit to beat Spurs by 12 = Warriors remind Spurs who's boss; Spurs have no chance to beat Warriors in a series.

Need to tank the Clippers game to prevent them from sliding to 6th seed..It is starting to look tempting for them with Harden/Houston ending the season in a bit of slump

These last 3 games are all important to Spurs opponents. Spurs could help determine homecourt advantage in Jazz-Clips and a playoff birth for Blazers.

As we don't care, I could see losing all 3.

It was a no-brainer choice from the start, but even more so now that the two teams are trending in different directions..

Clips have been playing better than Rockets down the strech..I still think they would have been 3rd seed hadn't they suffered injuries to CP3/Blake (they were tied with Houston when Paul went down)..

Part of that Houston-- and Harden-- have been slumping much or worse than the Spurs for the past month..Dude choked his MVP in like two weeks :lol..Only silver lining for the us right now: both potential opponents on road to WCF are in a rut..

Grizz have been resting players for the better part of three weeks. The rumors of them being in a rut have been greatly overstated.

I asked this question a few days ago. I asked why did they look good against the Spurs, but then are only 3-7 in their past 10 games. So that 3-7 in their past 10 games in no indication on how they're actually playing when all their players are suited up?

Only bad part about the Rox slipping is that might mean we might have to deal with DangeRuss in the 2nd round and they are almost as bad a matchup as the PaperClips.

After starting 31-9, Houston are only 23-18 since January 11th (only 6th best record in the West/ 10th overall in the league)..Their 3PT shooters have completely gone ice-cold on a large sample size (basically half season).

It is shaping up to be a long series vs OKC..

From Clutchfans:

Since January 11th:

Harden - 10 threes a game - 33.6%
Gordon - 8.5 threes a game - 32.9%
Williams - 5.6 threes a game - 32.5%
Ariza - 6.6 threes a game - 30.5%

Since All-star break:

Gordon - 8 threes a game - 34.1%
Williams - 5.6 threes a game - 32.5%
Harden - 10 threes a game - 32.4%
Ariza - 6.4 threes a game - 31.9%

Past 10 games:

Gordon - 7.8 threes a game - 32.9%
Ariza - 6.8 threes a game - 29.6%
Harden - 11 threes a game - 29.3%
Williams - 5.2 threes a game - 25.5%

Clippers: 26-18
Rockets: 20-23

Even if you put aside the hellish match-up issues LA cause to the Spurs, they have been a better team than Houston vs good competition overall all while losing Paul/Griffin for a combined 42 games..

Rockets looking mighty scary out there and deep as fuck. Any of their rotation guards (Harden, Beverley, Gordon and Williams) is better than any of our rotation guards and their front court isn't looking too shabby either with Ariza, Anderson, Capella and Nene.

Pretty much listed a C-level front court and called it good.

I would probably trade LMA for Anderson straight up at this point, tbh.

Just sharing the good takes I have to share, nothing to see here.

Doubt the Spurs would've beaten Portland either tbh. They literally got the easiest possible matchup other than if Denver had made it and still struggled. The fact of the matter is all these issues were widely apparent in the regular season and everyone saw them except the most important person (Poo).

Only scary thing about Houston was their modern approach(which Spurs will struggle with next round vs. the Space Jam version of Houston) to the game vs. the Spurs 2-big lineups..fortunate the Clippers were hurt all year, still a matchup nightmare..
