If we face the Clippers on the playoffs we need to do the complete oposite of what we always do. Just pack the paint and let them shhoot all the open threes they want, I don't know something to give them a different look. It's pretty obvious they are just too comfortable with what we present them outthere.

The post-Parker era is going to be bad. Dude got to 800 wins faster than anyone in NBA history and it wasn't even close really. Winningest player in the history of the game and it looks like this team's going to see a decline without him. We've already seen it in the last few years not being able to make a deep playoff run when we made 3 deep runs in a row with him peaking.

I mean if PATFO aren't seriously pursuing trades for LMA/Gasol I don't know what to think. We have a 30 game sample size now, over 1/3 of the season; neither makes this team better. I can understand keeping one of them since the roster becomes shaky without a scoring big, but they need a move to acquire hungry players.

We win this shit with Manu. Defense really wasn't that bad, but when you can't hit for shit on offense the defense sooner or later ends up suffering it. And we didn't need much neither, just a couple of threes here and there, a good pass and this game would have swinged the other way.

106 pts in 46% shooting isn't that bad. It's not good, but it's on the expected parameters of a game against an elite team. The offense on the other hand was atrocious, and a big reason why the defense looked worst than it should have.

106 pts in 46% shooting isn't that bad. It's not good, but it's on the expected parameters of a game against an elite team. The offense on the other hand was atrocious, and a big reason why the defense looked worst than it should have.

I'm sorry, but when you mention the Spurs defense tonight, I just can't shake the mental image of the whole Clippers team lining up to pull a train on Gasol. The only reason they only shot 46% is because they didn't go at him every play.

davemaniscool

things I would like to see stopped for the remainder of the season:

Aldridge/Gasol on the court together
Gasol's left handed hook shots
Parker/Gasol on the court together
Aldridge shooting fadeaways on guys he's 3 or 4 inches bigger than
Parker playing more than 12 minutes a game

Thinking the same

Loved to see the fight Kawhi brought in the second half.

Simmons put great effort.

Lee outplayed all the bigs. I love lee, thought he was a steal, but this bodes bad for the spurs if he's the best big.

Dedmon showed why he is what he is. Low minute second unit burst. He has very little offensive game, and can be negligible when his defensive assignment is a shooter.

LMA needs to remember how to score pretty soon. I like his effort on the boards, but his low scoring games are becoming inexcusable. He's getting wide open shots. You can have bad shooting phases, if this persists another 10 games I'll worry. Not too much now.

Danny has not been consistent, and is making weird decisions on defense. Not used to that.

Anderson doesn't seem to have a place on this team. He really seems out of it on both ends of the court. Guy just never developed physically towards being a big or quicker. Still plays like a rookie when his strength is supposed to be his IQ.

Pau may have a legitimate concern come trade deadline. Pop wants defense above all else. It's unfortunate because his personality meshes well with this group, but his productivity doesn't.

Murray is one exciting kid. Normally you don't last long I'd you can't shoot at the NBA level. Kid is so elite at slashing, I doubt it'll keep him out. Showed up on the boards and defense as well. Good showing.

Pop really doesn't time a dang about these games. :lol I really am curious to his aim though. Is trying to get them to learn how to communicate? Lead? Overcome bad positions? No telling but they're getting plenty of experience at odd situations.

As we all know, Pop ships in nationally televised games. Wait for the playoffs to see the spurs actually play.

Inexplicable. Pop screwed up coaching in this one.

I think that might have been a strategy of Pop's in the past when there were not nearly this many questions surrounding the team. Personnel aside, Pop has gone from a scheme that seemed almost entirely dependent upon Kawhi and LMA isolations to game plans that involved very little isolation plays in the last 1-2 weeks. Tonight, compared to a month ago, the Spurs hardly ran any isos. Pop, however disengaged he may be during games, is casting about furiously to find some answers that he can live with - no significant alteration of the starting unit and no "big" trades to alter the roster. His own self-imposed straight jacket.

OKC are average at best, without Westbrook and Oladipo who probably won’t be 100% the rest of the season with his hand injury. Spurs match up pretty well now we have guys that can rebound off the bench also. Jazz only had one great game against the Spurs, when the Spurs played like crap. The Spurs took it to them the next game on the road. Hood is the only guy that sort of scares me on the Jazz. The top four teams right now will advance. Not sure about Memphis if they are healthy (which is a big "if"), their bread & butter is the Conley/Gasol PnR which would exposed Pau big time. Plus, Z-Bo would get Dedmon in foul trouble. 106 pts in 46% shooting isn't that bad. It's not good, but it's on the expected parameters of a game against an elite team. The offense on the other hand was atrocious, and a big reason why the defense looked worst than it should have.

You do realize they were missing one of their best players in Griffin and that CP3 missed most of the second half? So, yes 106 points on 46% shooting in that scenario is horrendous.
