That's a nice pickup for the Cavs. Another elite shooter to spread the court but also a guy that can move off ball to get open threes. Irving does that some as well. Overall though Irving, Korver, and Love is a dream for Lebron.

Hawks probably got some under table commitment from Lebronze posse/org to help mend fences with Atlanta's black community, since Ferry-gate they don't go to the games anymore and unfortunately Atlanta is a majority black city. Hence even when winning they had weak home crowd support

Are you serious? Black people aren't going to Hawks games? Ferry didn't even say anything that bad, did he? I don't recall what he said, but it wasn't that bad was it? I thought they fired him because it would have been too touchy among the black community if they didn't.

The thing about Korver and Milsap, they are free agents after this year. Bud knows he's not winning this year, and not going to pay Korver/Milsap next year, so he's trying to get what he can. The only problem I have with the Korver trade is he's dealing with the Cavs.

Why the fuck would the Bulls trade Jimmy Butler? You build around your franchise player when he's in his prime, you don't just dispose of him. Guess they're in full rebuild mode and he's having a career year so they're trying to sell high I guess. Something tells me he's not going anywhere though

Exactly...it's not about what he's getting (which frankly, doesn't seem like that much for a guy of Korver's resume). It's the fact that he's sending him to one of the strongest teams in what is already a top-heavy, unbalanced league. It's just like when Memphis sent Gasol to the Lakers and made them insta-favorites again after years of bullying the league. Every other team on the verge of contention is cursing the Atlanta FO right about now.

Also, the thing about guys like Korver is he's not going to put a "middling" team over the top. Knowing he's a one-year rental, these teams don't even pursue him. Cleveland (and GS), on the other hand can take a gamble with the one year rental. If things work out, they could possibly re-sign Korver at a discount, especially if he likes winning and playing with LeBron.

To be fair with the FO, not even the Bulls FO knew Butler would be this good. That 2011 draft was outstanding all things considered.

I'm more way pissed that we passed on Jokic to get Anderson or the fact that we had to waste a pick to get rid of Dick Jefferson when the 2012 draft was loaded with talent in the 2nd round. Draymond Green, Krhis Middleton, Will Barton, Jae Crowder, Kyle O'Quinn ..Any of those guys would look good in a SA jersey now.

I wouldn't say Korver puts the Cavs over the top on the Warriors ridiculous lineup (Durant, Curry, Green, Thompson, Pachulia, Iguodala). I watched the Christmas game and Durant was giving them fits if he plays aggressive like that. TBH I have no idea how a Cavs/Warriors Finals will go this time, it could lean either way really, the Cavs are stacked. The one thing that sucks for the general NBA fan that does not live in San Francisco or Cleveland, is it's so predictable who will be in the Finals, it's boring now. Injurys to either team though could open the door up a bit for San Antonio, Clippers, Thunder and Celtics, Raptors. If either team gets eliminated before the Finals it will be considered a huge upset.

I'd consider it a much bigger upset if a team other than Cleveland comes out of the East than a team other than the Warriors coming out of the West. That is, unless Boston or Toronto make a huge move.

To be honest, the way the Cavs are stinking it up, it's diminishing the Spurs win and Kawhi's performance. This may be the worst level of competition in the NBA since the Lakers in 2001.
