Was about to comment on this. KD is allowed to do whatever he wants out there defensively. Now Irving is sitting because Zaza and Dray flopped.

Big run as soon as Javale enters game.

No big deal for Cavs if they lose this meant more to State ...
Pretty sure they would like to keep the ownership of Dubs going but they won the last match up that truly mattered and the first one this season ...
What I would be concerned about is Korver.
Sure, he will help spacing but ever player he has defended ...is going at him even Iggy

I agree but like I said Korver can't defend any of the top 6 Warriors...he makes love look elite on defense. Other than giving a little confidence to State this game means nothing it's like the my Cowboys winning at Lambeau in the regular season...last night that mattered little Rodgers, like LeBron is just so good.

Sure that's kinda true. I hope you're right. I honestly see them killing everyone though if they're healthy.

Just feels like they have too many options, so even if they take turns choking there will be at least one or two guys on fire.

Kyrie has been godawful since he tweaked that hamstring in the Celtics game..Also Korver is going to be unpalayable in this matchup..

This reminded of the same regular season game when the Spurs got up to destroy the Heat at home after 6..

Killakobe81

Cavs are playing with house money, tbh..can't see them being motivated enough to win again..

They just had the most impressive title win in NBA history and broke a 60+ year Cleveland drought, can't imagine a team being hungry enough to repeat after that(not to mention GS was a better team, anyways)..

They still watch the games. A fanbase value is directly related to the kind of environment they create in a staduim and the influence they have on player recognition.

San Antonio is a 60+ win team who is only 2.5 years removed from a ring, yet At&t is not even a top 10 arena and they could barely get their superstar to start a silly all-star game.

Face it, outside of the hardcore fans in spurstalk (many of which dont even live in San Antonio)..the san antonio fanbase in general.is lame.

I don't care if they're lame or not, this isn't about that. This is about how a strong fanbase with good fans became a huge bandwagon full of fair-weather fans with no knowledge of the game that disrespect everything about the NBA we used to like/still enjoy. We saw a similar happening with the Heatles but never to this obnoxious level.

Well even the pre game ads call this matchup Round 2. The league is hoping they get a 3peat matchup which is very much realistic with the way the league looks. I think the Spurs match up pretty well with Golden State but Pop is a playoff liability these days on top of the other problems the Spurs have.

Cavs can win imo; said a couple weeks ago they'd be favored but it'll depend on their health. Already at this point Love and Irving are breaking down while no one knows what shape JR Smith will be in.

If rematch happens, Lebron better play like games 5-7 for the entire series. Any close game up for grabs in the final 2 minutes, they better win, or it'll be over quick.

Just blow this team up already. Even ignoring the playoff chokes, they are incapable of staying healthy for longer than five minutes anymore. Doc has to go first, though.

Too soon to know the extent. Not a break but could be a fracture; an MRI will tell the full story. If he misses 2-4 weeks the Clippers won't be getting a Top 4 seed, and in that case may tank to face the Spurs in the first round.

Joe Johnson, Boris Diaw and Leandro Barbosa played on the Suns home floor tonight.

Try to imagine how surreal that is for me. Pretty sure these are the only guys left in the league who played under Mike D'Antoni in Phoenix.

All these moron talking heads try to say Kyrie is 'clutch' for heroics in the last 2 minutes. The problem is, he's often brutal in the other 46 minutes :lol

Cavs are playing with house money, tbh..can't see them being motivated enough to win again..

They just had the most impressive title win in NBA history and broke a 60+ year Cleveland drought, can't imagine a team being hungry enough to repeat after that(not to mention GS was a better team, anyways)..

Blake won't be back until the end of the month & he won't be a 100% for about 2 weeks so that would 1 month before they get MVP Blake. Besides, their cupcake schedule is over & they are going to have a bunch of road games so the timing is bad if he's out for 2 weeks.

Although, they shouldn't be any lower than the 5th seed unless they lose every game.:lol

The second the Christmas day game ended, I knew a start to finish blowout was coming in this game. There's this notion that it's those two and everyone else, but that's not true: unfortunately, it's the Warriors and everyone else.

In truth, you could make a strong argument that the Spurs are the 2nd best team in the league, at least in the regular season. The Cavaliers team metrics aren't impressive at all, yet it's seemingly overlooked because they capitalized on a litany of breaks last season to win the championship. I'd give them slightly better odds than the Spurs, just because they're far more likely to be in the Finals and have the best player in the world, but they're probably in the same class, along with a healthy Clippers.

The Cavs have two guys that could drop 40+ & takeover a playoff game plus shooters that can bomb out a team when they get hot. The Spurs have two guy that could drop 40 but LMA can be slowed down by double teams & Danny is the only guy that plays major minutes who can kill a team w/ his outside shooting (Patty/Manu can't play more than 20 minutes against the Duds).

Another thing the Cavs have is Tristan Thompson who can switch out on the PnRs, I can't say the same for Pau.:lol

All true, but the Spurs are significantly better defensively and for right now, at least (we'll see who the Cavs get to be their backup PG and depth big), deeper.

Like I said, I'd give them slightly better odds, but I don't actually think they're in another class overall.

Tier 1: Warriors

Tier 2: Cavaliers, Spurs, Clippers

Tier 3: Rockets, Raptors

Fair points but because cavs have the best player of any of those teams they get a slight edge over Spurs ..
Lol ...Clips? Lump them with Rox and Raptors ...done with those studio gangstas ...they look good but fail when it matters. They were my dark horse final contenders 2 straight years and haven't even come close

Curry/Gaymond owning Choke-P/Blake is basically checkmate especially when they don't have to guard Moute & DeAndre can't score in the post.

I gave the Cavs a slight edge because of James and the lack of a viable alternative to them in the East.

A healthy Clippers has superior star star power, experience and defense, to the Rockets and Raptors.

I've probably walked and run more miles than you have ever dreamed of. You should probably talk about something you actually know about. You know, like how soft you have to be to have 5 titles and not defend a single one.

Thanks for the predictable "I have no reasonable retort" so I'll go with a grade school reply. So juvenile and typical but certainly YOU. :toast

Care to discuss the actual topic that was brought up? I'm guessing not.

You really are quite the idiot. I use my legs everyday. Go figure.

And I also played on several basketball teams that have repeated, threepeated and even fourpeated. And I am an ardent fan of a team and watched them in person repeat and threepeat numerous times. You know, the true test of a champion.

So let's hear your experience with respect to the topic.

I'm predicting yet another juvenile response with no mention of the actual topic or none at all since it's obviously a touchy subject for you. :)
