Some African Americans upset with Jerry Rice

The Hall of Fame receiver already got in trouble over the last few months when he said "All Lives Matter," which appeared to be a criticism of the Black Lives Matter movement. Now he's caught people's attention again with this commercial, which featured him wearing a Popeyes football helmet with a rotating chicken wing on the facemask.

This obviously plays in to the "black people like fried chicken" stereotype, and it angered a lot of people. The comments on the YouTube page of the commercial are littered with people criticizing Rice for participating in this ad.

"Jerry just set black people back 437 years," one user wrote. "Thanks, Jerry. We're slaves again."

The commercial made its way to Twitter, too, where users were especially harsh.

Black people have a lot more things to worry about than fried chicken. They need to stop acting like deranged monkies on a football field, cool the stupid penalties. They need to stop fighting among themselves over idiotic things like colors/turf. Stop bailing on their kids and listening to all that shit...FUCK THE POLICE...music. And no women are not...hoes. Pull their pants up and stop dealing in drugs and crime.

Until they clean all that up fried chicken is the least of their worries.

Blacks need to worry about this not some silly commercial.
