View Full Version : I feel bad for LaMarcus Aldridge having balls the size of rice grains

I'm done shitting on the guy. He can't help it, he was born that way.:(

FYI: I didn't mind him not forcing shots against Tristan who is able to hold his ground on the post-ups. This is about the two FTs he bricked which would have been an utter bitch slap to Kawhi had the game gone to double OT......which almost happened after Love got WIDE open for a 3

He was fine, tbh..played like a role player, which is better for the Spurs in this match up IMO..

He was actually fantastic. Difficult for a Star caliber player to still contribute positively without touches.

I'm not talking about his overall game, I was already resigned to him being a 3rd wheel ala Klay after Gm 5 of the OKC series.

He's never been known as a big winner. That's why he isn't going to retire in Portland.

He's limited as fuck too. If the jumpshot isn't falling it's extremely hard for him to get points. No post game to speak of.

Too bad LMA can't get a ball transplant with Marco Belinelli tbh

Saved the game with his play in the final minute, huge block and jumper to seal it when Kawhi was trying to give it away

The last 2 FTS were meaningless

Oh come on now. When he was putting up big numbers in Portland everyone said he was as good as Duncan.

Tristan Thompson is a tough matchup, tbh.... still, he was MIA all the way to OT...

I liked how Lee combined with hit at times though...

Aldridge is never going to consistently dominate Thompson in the post, tbh..he just has to rebound and make open shots vs. Cleveland..

Kawhi, Parker and 3-point shooting will be the best offensive weapons against them in a potential series..

How about go to work in the freakin paint like a normal big? It pisses me off because he has show that can do it and just doesn't

I also liked how he was pounding the offensive glass, helping on LeBron's drives & making passes out of the post after he wet the bed in the first half.:toast

But dude can't be counted on in pressure situations.

Dedmon otoh....

Dedmon needs someone that bangs since he doesn't have the IQ to play PnR defense which is where TOSB Chandler could help:

I'll take Chandler over Deadman in a sec

LA hit the shot that sealed the game, tbh.

He had to put it up b/c the shot clock was running down thus didn't have time to play hot potatoes. Standing naked at the FT line in front of thousands is another story,

Chandler can't play heavy minutes which is where Deadman comes into play. They would be a great 1/2 punch.

Dedman is like Ezeli who was a disaster in the Finals trying to guard the LeBron/Tristan PnR, Chandler meanwhile owned LeBron in 2011.

TOSB Pau as no place since Lee is better than his empty stats, tbh.

Aldridge was solid, good passing and didn't force it on offense. Good job on the glass and did a decent job contesting at the rim.

That jumper in the corner essentially sealed the deal and he did have that nice put back dunk late in the 4th.

Manu was splitting FTs all season long & Kawhi was a 63% shooter in the postseason, missing BOTH when you're a 83% shooter is another thing.

Not much to complain about but I would have broken the TV had Love hit the corner 3.

I just had to get this off my chest, enjoy the win fellas.

He was good overall, but needing 1 of 2 freethrows to end the game and getting neither is infuriating. As one of the two "star players" it's his job to hit those. It's not a 3 point shot off the dribble, it's a freethrow.

The guy with "no balls" bought a house for 7mi in Aug only to sell it at 8.35mi just recently. That takes big balls.

http://www.ocregister.com/articles/san-740593-antonio-sells.html

And basket ball wise, he has been great for us. Not only he is committed to playing defense but he is adding to his offensive game. Ha just had back to back career best years regarding eFG%, what's not to like?

Cleveland is 26th in DRB% so Aldridge hitting the offensive glass instead of posting up is a good game plan.

LMa is going get Thompson every time. That's why I want to see what Pau can do against Love. Just wondering how much impact another scoring big can have, since getting Love in trouble defensively is also good defense because of Love's value as a scorer and stretch 4.

IIRC, Timmy was too old to take advantage of Love.
