Houston still too close for comfort though, bro.

Houston's too close for comfort? You would rather the Spurs play against the Clippers with HC than playing against the Rockets without HC? I'll gladly take playing the Rockets without HC than facing the Clips. Eventually the Clippers are going to get healthier and every Rockets loss sucks in the grand scheme of things when it concerns the Spurs.

Fuck it, I want revenge for '14. Bring them on, tbh.

Agreed 100%

Heh. Your boy had another good game. I'm still pissed at him for trying to hose one of the important regular season games. But he's stepped up with the short roster.

There's a lot of talk about what a good defender he is. And I can't deny that he makes some good defensive plays. But I see him differently, and I haven't been able to get my hands around why. Tonight I decided that I was going to start watching him more closely on D. It's only one game, but one thing I saw tonight is that he's slow on the defensive end too - but he has pretty quick hands. I think he's bailing out his lack of foot speed on D with his hands. I guess if he's not picking up a bunch of reaching fouls, that's okay. But it also means that he's going to get beaten pretty badly at times, when he whiffs. Or maybe he really is that consistently good on D, and I'm just too hard on him.

I've always said that I think he's a damn good rebounder, and I still think that he's better suited to be a 4 than anything else.

Did I mention that I'm still pissed at him for that play in Cleveland? :lol

The only fun left would be the Jazz over the Thunder, but that would just be fluff.

Hopefully we don't drop a tough one tomorrow night at Toronto. But in case we do, glad the dubs and Cavs lost.

Not tough anymore without DeRozan, tbh(although SA's recent history in Toronto is shaky)

No DeRozan definitley lessens the burden, but they're still a tough team at home. Will be a close game imo.

Heh.. :tu if you nitpick somebody who is a role player he will have some flaw. His are very noticeable but Spurs are able to plug him in and not fall off the face of the Earth most of the time. That's valuable. He has good hands and good instincts with those hands enable him to make some defensive plays... not every guy with that length is able to do that. they won't always work but he generates a lot of deflections, steals and is a good help defender. Pop insists that he's a wing and that just highlights his lack of foot speed more. You might be onto something. He's still lanky but looks a lot tougher than he did his rook season. He seems to have packed on pounds and filled out some.

I haven't been able to go see them live in a couple months of Sundays.
My wife got me tickets to see them on my birthday, in March. We're spending the weekend on the Riverwalk. Total surprise by her. I don't even care who they're playing, or who's playing. I'm excited as hell!

The seven hour drive will feel like seven minutes.

Yea that's how I am. We had maybe 1 or 2 competitive games w/the Nets since i've been going. I went to some in NJ too when they were there. But it's just a joy to see those guys live.

I need to make a trip to SA to watch a home game for once (though there were and are always a bunch of Spurs fans in Brooklyn) That's awesome that you got that surprise though. Sounds like an amazing weekend planned :tu

Yeah best time of my life was when me and my sis watched 3 games denver gsw rox back in march of 2015. Gott a pic with everyone relevant except tp and pop

That's great stuff. I wish I could hit several games a year. Was thinking of maybe taking a trip to a 76ers or Wiz game next year possibly, but we'll see. It sucks only seeing them once a year, but I guess it's better than nothing.

Tonight I was able to get pics/autographs of/with Pop, Green, Mills, Lee, Sean ******, & RC. Kawhi was not trying to stop at all, he had his crew he spoke with, but then he was gone. Typical Kawhi lol

I was hoping Manu came back out after the game, but he didn't.

Fun game to watch. Was hoping for some highlights from Juice or Dedmon, but it was fun overall anyway

DeRozan is out tomorrow

That's actually pretty big. He was the one who had it going big time in our previous match up. It's a b2b, but honestly it's a game we should win assuming Kawhi plays. Or maybe my standards are just higher now lol

People here love to underestimate players on other teams. DeRozan is a scoring machine. And he's not chucking a bunch of 3's to do it. He does the vast majority of his scoring from mid-range, and he has an amazing FG% from mid-range. Plus he averages something like 9 trips to the FT line every night. He's more than a handful. He's also really tall for a SG, so it's a good thing that he doesn't really seem to give a damn about playing defense a lot of the time.

Yea, Derozan can flat out score in a variety of ways, just like a guy like Harden can. Take him out the equation, and it's a completely different team/game plan. Losing that offense should help us big time, but we'll see how we approach the game.

We could come out and lay an egg, anything is possible. Especially on the road, where the home team has a great crowd
