duncan's time at c vs pf, stats (http://www.82games.com/P3SAS10C.HTM)

Evidently duncan is MUCH more productive as a center when it comes to scoring. Though he gives up more points defensively as a center as well, that difference is more than made up for by his increased scoring at center.

Time to move Rasho the backup center and to start playing malik at the 4?

Does Duncan do ANYTHING differently when he is supposedly playing this different position?

Nope.

Well, i don't know that the productivity issue is about what he does differently when he plays the position, its more about the other player we have on the court, and who the opponent must then play on duncan (perhaps?)

That is the only thing I can think of in making sense of this.

Perhaps he plays "center" when rasho goes out and malik or horry came in. Keeping up with Horry especially forced the opponent to put the pf on horry, and ducan must have schooled the oppoent c.

Remember, the center is often less talented in today's league compared to the pf.

Maybe you should look at it during the regular season and not the playoffs eh? (http://www.82games.com/03SAS15C.HTM)

You might notice that duncans opponent at the 4 shoots 32% while at the guy at the 5 shoots 50%.

Before anyone brings it up Bowens oppent at the 2 shoots 27% and at the 3 34% at the 4 tho 100%.

Artest's opponent sg 21% sf 28% pf 16% all while outscorig the a considerable amount.

and our top 5 man unit?

ok, so nevermind, duncan is equal at both during the regular season.

And matt carrol has the greatest +/- on our team, and evidently should be starting.

Hedo is clutch...during the regular season.

Stats aren't everything.
