You saying no Kyle Anderson?

Since Kyle is in his 3rd season and the game includes only players in their 1st or 2nd seasons, yes.

Definitely happy for Simmons. Starting by paying $150 for an Austin Spurs tryout a few years ago, to being a part of NBA's All Star Weekend (the Rising Stars and hopefully Dunk Contest). It may not mean much to other players or fans, but I'm sure it means a lot to Simmons.

3rd most consistent bench player behind Lee and Mills, tbh..

Happy for him :tu

Yeah, it is indeed odd that he seems like he's been with the Spurs forever!

Me too even though it was usually a blowout in favor of the sophomores. Though the rookies did win a couple times, such as the Dejuan Blair year (09-10) and the Tony Parker year (01-02).

Good for Simmons! I can't imagine how many times he must've felt like he was chasing a dream that wasn't possible, how many people told him to get a real job, how many people quoted statistics on his odds of making the league, and now here he is living his dream! One of my favorite NBA stories of all time! Give them some nasty J Simms for Spurs nation!

The US is winning this. Booker and KAT are going to light the international team up.

There's a chance this means he makes the dunk contest too. Seen it before where they'll have players participate in multiple events vs. having a guy nobody has heard of in the dunk contest. 3pt contest has turned into mostly stars now at this point, but would be fun to see Danny in there. He'll either have a 3 or 30.

B-b-but he's 27, he's too old to be a "rising" star.

He can dunk, but that's junk. Playing on the invitation to the Rising Stars is some real recognition. Props to Mr. Simmons

Hopefully Green or someone else from the team is invited to the three-point contest to try to make up for the Spurs only getting one All Star.
