Oh poor Dan Gilbert, I hope you won't be crossing paths with LeBron today

For you sake

I think they'll be fine without him, but it probably means Lebron will need to play more minutes, which could hurt them later(since his plan was to rest more in the 2nd half)..

I agree on both points. They will be fine and LeBron will stop coasting. He will make his annual Mvp level playoff drive, make some passive aggressive (but true) comments that he is still the best player and if he wanted, he could score like Harden or put up triple doubles like Russ or defend like Kiwi ...(also mostly true)
Problem is like Harlem mentions that is not in the best interest of defending a title ...
As for Cavs the Wildcats Frye and Jefferson have to combine to replace some of what love brings along with James playing more PF ...Kyrie will get more scoring chances as well and Korver will get more mins ...

Thank God the Cavaliers pulled it off last year because between the Warriors picking up Durant, the injuries to Love and JR and the ridiculous amount of minutes LeBron has had to play it doesn't look good for this year.

LeGOAT dragged that soft, injury-prone scrub to a ring :worthy:

I would trade Melo for Love right now if I'm the Cavs, tbh.

now he needs two more playmakers

Phil might he stupid but he won't trade for an injured player

I wouldn't be so sure. He seems to really want Melo out and Love is much younger. This season is lost anyways.

Phil would definitely do it, tbh:lol not because he's a shitty GM(which he is), but because it's very clear that he wants Melo out..

You think he'd be willing to play the four? Because I can't imagine starting Channing Frye or Derrick Williams.

I think Lebron would be willing to if Melo isn't.

And yeah at this point gambling on Melo and hoping he and lebron find a way to gel is the only way they beat GS.

Hey, you forgot to mention that Phil would also do it because he is a racist and Love is a white American player tbh

Melo played the 4 many seasons with the Knicks, tbh. Anyway, Lebron and Melo would switch responsabilities playing the 4 from game to game, and even within games.

They can't try to make LeBron play the four. He's too valuable a ball handler and I don't think it makes much sense to have him play a more physical position when they need to be limiting the wear and tear he gets in the second half of the season to keep fresh for a playoff run. At least one of those six weeks Love is out is the allstar break.

I also think Melo is much more valuable, than Love, in a potential matchup vs the Warriors (which is all that matters for the Cavs, tbh).

I don't believe the Cavs will reach the Finals this year, tbh. I remember Lebron saying he'd rather not make the playoffs than lose another Finals series. He probably knows the team as constructed isn't good enough to beat the Warriors.

I won't be surprised if he throws a series away and quits ala Kobe.

Terrible move by Lue..Despite Pop overdoing his rest shtick; i am still grateful he, and not a Thibs-type, is calling the shots when it comes to Spurs players injuries recovery timetables..
