I just wanna know if that's a first. Let's keep it during the Tim Duncan era.

If you're going to MVP, 2014 Spurs and 2006 Mavs didn't have MVP winners (Dirk won in '07). I think the other teams did.

Spurs haven't won 60 times yet, also. They might as well keep dropping games to bad teams and not make it :lol

Was there another all-star on those Lebron/Cavaliers 1.0 teams because they cracked 60 wins a couple of times and were basically a one man band.

I know dude. Thanks. :lol

I was just saying Kawhi has a great chance at MVP than a lot of people give him credit for.

Well, tbf, I'm giving him more chance now that he has stacked up so many 30 pt games and is the only Spurs all star.

I think that the 1998 Jazz and bulls both won 60+ games and only had 1 all-star.

I didn't think back to his rookie year..Pippen and one of Malone/Stockton didn't make it?

Yeah, seems surprising that only Jordan and Malone made from the bulls and jazz that year.

^^I think that was the year when Pippen missed most of the season IIRC..

it's unfortunate, that stupid article about Kawhi being a negative on the floor and his on/off numbers not being close to Westbrook/Harden along with their narratives are going to hurt him in the MVP consideration as well as the DPOY award. we all know Kawhi is the MVP and spurs would be trash without him

^^I don't think anybody cares about that article IMO:lol

The thing that hurts Kawhi is that he's competing against the aura of "Pop's system", which began in the 2013 Finals..most people no longer see him as a "system player", but you still see plenty of "imagine X player with Popovich instead"..

you are right. Pippen only played 44 games that regular season.

Yeah, that article was shit in like seven different ways, and it got way too much attention.

I hear that a lot and it's just stupid. Players are where they are. You can't knock a player based off of hypotheticals. You have to evaluate what you see. I see a guy who is the best defender in the league and averaging nearly 26 a game.

I have watched the Cavs a few games this year Jefferson is actually a contributor its weird that he was at what should have been his peak with the spurs yet has looked better the last couple of years than he did previously.

With DickJ it was mental tbh,he came from the Nets where he was the "Man" I think Timmy intimidated the hell out of him and instead of mentally bucking up and getting
with the program,he folded

Pretty sure Timmy had Patfo run him out.Never seen Timmy mess with a former team mate like he did with DickJ after he was traded, you could tell Tim had zero respect for him
