For a moment i feared the Achilles tendon snapped, tbh, and that was it :cry..He has 9 days to rest it, but should take his time to return..ankle issues for 39yo are never easy..

whoever started that annual Parker meltdown thread jinxed Manu because he went down a few days after it's creation. Like a monkey's paw wish never working like the wisher intended.

Nono - I know you said it was a ligament issue that forced Manu's surgery but from a few things I have read, it started out as an impingement. Then maybe he didn't rest it enough and played in the Olympics and that is when he suffered the major injury.
Might be something where he misses time beyond the AS break but who knows.

i too thought it was his achilles at first. maybe that was just the first thing he checked for, to see if it had snapped.

I remember they said in the Olympics he re-aggravated it, but then you read the articles and it says it wasn't worse than when he injured it, but wasn't getting better, so they went for the surgery, which was for a ligament.
I have no other info, I guess we'll have to wait post ASG and see where's he at.

Good to hear :tu
If he's still feeling any lingering pain, he should not travel with the team to LA ..That would give full two weeks of rest until next Wed for the game against the Pacers..But the most important thing is that it wasn't serious as it looked from the way he asked to come out of the game..

Great news! He may be a shadow of his prime self but he's still one of the best on court leaders in the game and we need him.

The only positive thing about that horrible week and a half All Star break. It's worse than summer!! Glad "The Manu" got some rest.
