Much ado over nothing or a major disaster about to take place?
The rain is gonna continue and next weekend is 85% chance Sat and Sunday to dump plenty more.

Do you have faith in State of California official Vegetables predictions that all is fine?

Kind of a Califonia only issue, but I know SpursTalk likes to get into discussions, esp over Government activity.
If, repeat if the dam did bust, could greatly affect the food supply as Central Cali growing region provides a crapload of the nations food. Also when the snowpack begins to melt, gonna be a lot more water heading towards Oroville Dam.

I'm staring at the mighty Sierra Nevada's right now, totally packed with snow and all the ditchs around here more than 3/4 full. I'm talking Porterville.

Never seen so many yards that need mowing.

Some think the only reason Oroville was not rising the past few days was the orders for the 9 contributing dams upstream to temp close. Now Oroville is rising again.

Don Pedro dam release is overflowing downstream levees.
HWY 50 with a huge hole in it. (Avante you can google where HWY 50 is)

I spent all weekend in Sacto last weekend. We were fortunate to avoid rain all weekend, but so much of the area is flooded. American River park was washed out 1.5 miles up from usual shorelines.

Just a pity this is happening in NorCal when it should be washing out shitty Los Angeles and the filthy California trash that resides in SoCal.
