He had a lot of huge plays, the inbound steal.. the other steal leading to a JSimms dunk, a momentum 3 he hit, the cut with the bucket off Pau's pass.. he was huge.

Good to see.

:flag:

Actually I have very mixed feelings. Yes, it is good to see - to the extent that it contributes to a Spurs win. Not so good to see since it only reinforces Pop's determination to use him extensively even though he can only be a positive force every third game or so. I will not necessarily be glad when he is gone, but I will be relieved.

I think I have accepted that this lineup/rotation is the one Pop is rolling with. Once you accept that you can kind of move on...

Take the last Magic game for example, Manu goes down with an injury, the guys get off the bench and the team doesn't skip a beat. Kyle/Davis and others had a good game but when others are healthy we won't see them. It's just how it is. I have no doubt both guys probably get rotation minutes elsewhere, Davis specially, but Kyle gets very underrated bc he started the season poorly but has since then played well every time....

Anyways, then there is Dijon: the team is 6-0 when he starts including games against Toronto and Cleveland, playoff teams. Then we don't see him again that much. He has been shaky in his appearances since then which shows his inconsistency as a 20 year old rook...

I think I have just accepted this is how it is. I'd rather see them at times but I have accepted Pop is rolling with his guys. Manu came through, Tony righted the ship in the second half. It's good to see they still got it.

I suppose next season we shall see the others more, or maybe I will see them play in another team like Cojo who was fantastic against the Celtics tonight but when he was in the Spurs was in a similar situation to them.

I guess the Spurs will soon reach a point where they can't afford to leave these guys benched to Neverland but this season is not it.

He gets to the basket unimpeded. Patty can't guard him. He got by Danny a few times too. I think the bigs guard the lob and don't help on him.

I'm still upset we didn't get rid of Aldridge before the trade deadline. I just have a feeling he's gonna fuck us over in the playoffs

TBH I'm worried about a lot of players on our team sucking in the playoffs.

Where's robzz when you need him tbh

I'm on vacation bruh.

Great win all things considered. Had this as a scheduled loss, so this makes up for the loss in Memphis. Still can't see the Spurs beating the Clips in a series, though.

Teams looks so much better with Dedmon starting and Pau off the bench. Feels good to have an athletic shot-blocker who rebounds like a mad man and brings some "nasty" to this team.

A lot of us have been begging Popovich to do it, but hey we know nothing right ?

Hopefully Pop continues with this starting lineup until the end of the season.

His defense on switches is what impresses me.

Agree 100%. Good enough to give guards a lot of problems.

ceperez

Dedmon on these switches has been outstanding. Cutting down on the fouling too. And works within the offense. If the Spurs play GSW he's going to have to play a HUGE role defending their small ball lineups and imposing his size.

Happy with Pau showing some range tonight and will be interesting to see if he keeps pushing out his range the duration of the RS.

The one lineup I really enjoyed was the Parker-Mills-Manu one. Against a team without quality SF like the Clippers it is very playable. Remains to be seen if the Spurs can trot it out when the Warriors aren't playing Durant at the 3.

Clippers obviously were tired tonight but are still not a team I want any part of come the postseason. Would still much rather see the Rockets than them.

The Parker-Mills-Manu lineup really gets the ball moving extremely well and it seems to be tiring to defend.

Spurs had a lot of trouble scoring against the Clippers defense, but maybe this dynamic offense was the solution. Interesting enough, Leonard wasn't even in that lineup.

I was at the game last night but left promptly when it ended.

Driving home, the Clippers postgame radio said that Pop came out afterward and addressed the fans for a while. (I think he's done this before at Staples.)

Did anyone stay and hear what he said, how long he spoke, etc?

First I heard of it. First I've ever heard of an opposing coach coming out and addressing the fans in their house.

I just hope it wasn't political. I'm getting really sick of that shit. From everyone, and from both sides.

OMG, you're just a pimple on the ass of... well everything.

First of all, I didn't say he COULDN'T do anything. If I could do that, then he wouldn't be talking all the political shit, would he? So stop your whining and get some Vagisil. This isn't about anybody getting their damned rights taken away.

Second, the man gets a great big microphone because he's a basketball coach, and he uses it to be a politician. If he wants to be a politician, he should go do that. Or he can do like all the rest of us, and talk to all his friends and neighbors about whatever he wants to talk about. See the difference, Pinhead?

And third - go fuck yourself. You're basketball takes are worthless, and your only real skill appears to be shitting on things. That's not much of a skill.

Edit: BTW, Shortbus. I quit watching Duck Dynasty because those asshats started being politicians, instead of just funny hairy-assed hillbillies. It's got nothing to do with ideology. I don't want to listen to that shit all the time, and if I do want to listen to it, I know where all the political news channels are.

yeah, i wasn't saying luc would beat us alone. but him posting up on parker has the potential to get parker in foul trouble, or if the spurs double he could pass the ball and the clippers could swing it to an open man.

to parker's credit, he was better in the second. although i wouldn't say he got others rolling as much as i would say say he got out of the team's way.On the contrary it was Kawhi who got Parker going. Neither one were doing anything at the time, the Clips D was playing unhinged and Parker looked washed up while Kawhi was doing a bad job at playing hero ball. Thats when Kawhi made a couple simple passes to Parker for jumpshots. It got Parker going but also made me believe in Kawhi that much more. Once you start heroballing, its hard to stop even if it isnt working but he more than stopped, he seemingly purposely passed it to a guy who was struggling. Thats believing in your teammates and thinking during chaotic times. Not easy.

Kawhi coming back to be really useful in the fourth was nice, but the dude doesn't know how to play in foul trouble yet. He made a bone-headed play to pick up his fifth foul and almost got his sixth swiping at Griffin. He was so lucky he didn't get called with the way they were blowing whistles all night. I guess Kawhi only knows one way to play, but there are parts of being a star that he's still trying to figure out.

Kawhi is rarely in foul trouble so he doesn't have a lot of experience playing that way. He's only had 4 fouls or more 3 times this season. Compare that to someone like Draymond who has had 16 games with 4 or more fouls and has fouled out twice.
