Probably the least popular Assistant coach, but major Props to James Borrego for brining in Dedmon.

I am 100% sure he was the major influence behind it as was Boylen with Jeff Ayres. I recall Borrego playing Dedmon decent minutes during his Interim Stint with Orlando.

He's everything Jeff Ayres should have been

Yeah. Biggest acquisition that was a new signee's "guy" since Ferry brought Green. I like him well enough on the staff. Will sacrifice him if Messina needs a top assistant, though.

We can't really tell how Good Assostant coahces are. It's silly really to evaluate and juddge them as we can't tell what decision or what inflience they had on Pop.

Borrego can be a shitty coach, but wanted to give him props for brining in a guy. At least we know Borrego has a good eye for talent.

True, coaching and scouting for talent are two different skill sets.

However, finding Dedmon took some real skill!

Borrego has almost ten years as an assistant in the Spurs system, I'm confident he's a good coach.
