If he's back for the postseason Dubs will be fine. Spurs won't beat the Clippers in a series, and they'd be seeing them in the second round if they overtook them for the top seed.

Gortat pushed Paculia but his flopping afterwards may cost State a title same as dudes sweat may have caused them to lose last year ...cavs will repeat. Might have regardless...but if Durant injury is serious its garunsheeed...

The irony is that Zaza kept trying to hurt Spurs players last year.

If it's Spurs v Cavs in the finals, Spurs win, tbh.
Kawhi moves up a notch on the MVP voting

No, they wouldn't. They wouldn't even have home court advantage.

It would be a pick 'em in Vegas, just like the Heat-Spurs series in 2014(despite the Spurs being the better team to anybody that followed both teams)..

I have more fear of the Clippers (and to a lesser extent Houston, just because they are a wild card. If they're hitting all those three's they can beat anyone) in the 2nd round, than the Cavs on the finals. If the Spurs make it that far, it means they are playing well. The Spurs playing well have Lebron's number, tbh.

Kawhi clearly was not the leader of that team despite winning Finals MVP. Just like Iggy. Period.
Since becoming the alpha of the Spurs, Kawhi has yet to get out of he 2nd round.

I'll enjoy the 3 straight WCF, 2 straight finals & 1 championship that we got when Kawhi got on board when in the previous 3 years before that SA got bounced in the first round twice and the second round the other time.
Anyone with a brain can spot the difference and who has been the alpha for the Spurs.

Realistically, LeBron was the Finals MVP that year but they're never giving it to a player on the losing team in today's world.

True, tbh. I was more shooting down the notion that Kawhi was the alpha of that 2014 Spurs team just cuz he won Finals MVP. Duncan clearly was still the alpha, even in a smaller role. Just surprises me that Spurs fans would stoop to shitting on their franchise GOAT just to defend their beloved poor man's Pippen.

dunno how many g ames are left, and they are dropping games
isn't this where DPOY come into play? see how draymond can hold the forte, if cant then; how is he front runner for dpoy for the rest of the season...
u going to reward it to him cause u didn't reward him the past 2 seasons? that's lame man...
he shouldn't even be front runner now with the way gsw is doing...

Agree that Duncan was the mental leader of that team.
But right now Kawhi is clearly a top 5 player in the league and our true #1 option
Sure Spurs are a 2nd round exit team but thats mainly because we are still giving major minutes to 50 year olds like Gason Manu and Porker
Kawhi is at the level of Hardon, Chimpbroom and Durant. Neither of those players would carry the Spurs past round 2 either.

In 2013 Parker was the star but 2014 is when he started looking old. There was no number 1 option on that 2014 team.

Kawhi will go down as a better player than Dirk, tbh.

Remember in 2013 when the HS graduation traffic made him 45 min late and he didn't get the full warm up and pulled his hammy. He wasn't the quite the same after that.
Typical Spurs luck.
