Missed all of his Rookie season and now half of this one. Might have a Greg Oden 2.0 on our hands. And he's better than Oden ever was. Sucks tbh.

Does he still win ROY tbh? He was going to win it by a landslide but it's hard to imagine now with him missing 70% of his team's games. Problem is there's not really a decent 2nd option. The other Rooks have been pretty uninspiring tbh. I imagine Saric might steal it now since he's been playing well the past month.

Can the slobbering over Sam Hinkie and his Process stop? :lol..It is gotten cringe-worthy ..the top 4 prospects/players that came out of the deliberated, protracted mediocrity he oversaw: 2 potential damaged goods (Embiid, Simmons), one is traded already (Noel) the other has been on block for a year now (Okafor)..

They're being extra cautious with Embiid and Simmons and they should both be 100% by next season. Saric looks great, and suddenly Covington looks like a legit starter. McConnell had also been a nice surprise. If not for injuries they'd be a playoff team.

Trading noel instead of oak was an awful move though imo

I wouldn't..So let's stop treating this dude like some genius above us we peasants....

Embiid played better this year than Oden ever did in his nba career. He was legitimately one of the best centers in the league this year.

But yes the repeated injuries are incredibly worrying considering he was on a minute restriction this season and got hurt anyway.

I wouldn't be worried about Simmons yet, but of course he hasn't played yet so he's unproven.

not sure any of it is really philly's fault, they have been extra careful with him and he clearly showed a shitload of potential...

Sorry to hear about Embiids knee.

But....does this mean we can hope for Durant? :lol

Played 31 games out of his first 246 games while on minute restrictions and sitting out all back to backs.

Time to wrap this up. Career is going downhill.

Torn miniscus in left knee.
Right foot navicular broken twice in two years
Back injury while at Kansas.

Injured in college: out for the season.
Drafted high anyways (talent is undeniable worth a risk by somebody)... out two entire seasons.
Rook season in reality should be his third year in the league, but he plays only about 35% of it? While on minutes restriction and a rest schedule.
As sad as it is to say, he is looking too brittle.

To your question, it doesn't look good. Greg Oden 2.0 in terms of injuries ending career prematurely is a sad possibility.

Ben Simmons too early to call but Big man Rondo 2.0 sounds depressing. Hopefully he's not that.

He was drafted in 2014, so he actually missed his first 2 seasons, but your point still stands.
