at home the first night of B2B, the tougher one is @ OKC the following night.I would probably sit out all geezers (TP/Manu/Pau)..

Quick hook on Kawhi/LMA with plenty of Kyle/Bertans/Simmons/Murray early on..

I see Kawhi getting the night off, tbh. They should be able to beat a Cousins less Kings without him.

Let the Austin Spurs take the court against the Kings.

As risky as it is you've got to rest Kawhi and LMA they've been shouldering huge minutes these last 3 games.

I would only rest Kawhi, tbh.

Kings have been pretty decent since Cousins left, all games pretty close IIRC. I would rest TP, Manu, and Pau

Roll with:
Dedmon, Lee
Aldridge, Bertans
Leonard, Anderson
Green, Simmons
Murray, Mills

Parker, Manu, Kawhi, and LMA probably.

Mills/Pau/Lee will be relied upon heavily if so.

I wouldnt rest kawhi tbh, OKC should be a non-issue.

Leonard deserves a night off. On the other hand it kills his rhythm every time.

Yeah it is trap game..if you are going to rest Kawhi, TP/Manu have to play..Don't trust the rest of stiffs we have to score without any play-makers holding their hands..

It's the kings and the thunder, play the majority and finish it off early.

Right on.
Rest Kwa.

Rest Tony for the next two games -- it really makes a difference. And rest Kawhi if he'll let you. Have him recharge for the OKC game. I'd also like to have Green take like a week off to figure out what the fuck is wrong with his shot. Him not being able to come out of his spiral against the Rockets of all teams is very concerning. Sit him, start Murray at the two unless you decide to bring in a buyout wing and see what you can do.

I already picture Cauley-Stein posterizing Gasol and blocking a weak Aldridge postup on the other end....

Kawhi defin. deserves the night off. He's been busting his ass like no other and carrying the load.

Sit LMA and Kawhi

Parker
Green
Anderson
Lee
Dedmon

Mills
Manu
Simmons
Bertans
Gasol

should be enough to beat Sacramento

Doubt Leonard and Aldridge would agree to a rest.

I'd just rest Parker and Manu.

Gasol needs to play. He had a long vacation.

I'd like Parker and Gasol to rest so that Murray and Bertans can play big minutes

Mal

We`ll know how much Pop wants 1st seed then. He could afford to sit old guys, but Kawhi must go, hopefully with quick blowout, he`ll get less mintues

Robz4000

Gasol needs all the reps he can get, and as has been said resting Leonard takes him out of his rhythm so he should play both games (albeit very limited minutes against the Kings).

Nobody. It's a home game. If they're too tired you punt the @ OKC game which is loseable even with everyone playing.

Manu. We need everyone else. I would just limit Kawhi's minutes. Nobody else needs to rest.

Nobody rests. Just give a small amount of minutes to Kawhi and whoever needs it.

Also, this thread is full of epic movie titles:

Who will rest against the kings?
The cousin-less kings.
The king and the thunder.
Austin and the King's court.

This, exactly this. :tu That broken jumper needs some mending, and this is the right opportunity for it.

Rest Kawhi & TP, play Manu (but rest him in OKC) & Pau (limited minutes).

No one should, but they really need a near wire to wire blowout, otherwise they're probably going to lose the Thunder game in the process, either from cumulative fatigue catching up to them, Pop resting key players or both.

No matter how it plays out, I wouldn't sit the olds guys versus the Thunder. They've sat plenty and it's time for them to have a game where they carry the load. Leonard, Aldridge and Green, have played a lot of arduous minutes lately and they'll have to continue to do so, so they're the ones who most need to be kept an eye on.

Ignore the public front that they'll maintain (though Parker somewhat deviated last night): both Pop and the players know that they'll need damn near everything to break right to have a chance at beating those arrogant pricks in a series. That entails making a concerted effort to take advantage of the Durant injury, getting the 1 seed and incrementally increasing their odds.

Thunder took a 4th straight L, so the game on Thursday got a bit trickier.. Spurs need to take care of business early vs the Kings..Hate playing teams coming off losing streaks..

In earlier b2b's this season Pop has had most everyone available and surprised us with not automatically resting people. At least I think this has happened. :lol

I think he will want to put the Kings away early at home and then play the younger guys a lot of minutes in the second half. Maybe Manu and TP sit? Doubt if Pau sits and I hope Kawhi and LMA play. Kawhi because of rhythm and LMA because of confidence. Plus I'm going to the game and want to see a blow out of epic proportions! :wow

Can't remember the last time the Spurs won on TNT. On top of the other previously mentioned reasons (Thunder on a 4-game losing streak, Spurs' struggles in OKC (though not as bad as it used to be), SNB2B, fatigue) I have this as a scheduled loss. Thankfully I think Boston takes care of the Dubs tomorrow after Isaiah Thomas kinda called them out so the Spurs won't lose ground on them.

Over the last set of back to backs only Manu rested. I think it's either Tony and Pau or only Pau as Tony also rested recently.
No need to rest Kawhi or Aldridge, they have to get used to playing a lot of minutes.

me either, last year's Warriors would start everyone and Curry would try to go for 50+ glad that is not who the Spurs are.

Kawhi's been carrying the team on his back for 4 close games in a row where he's averaging 40+ mins. I think a game's rest against the Kings before a tougher matchup Thursday is totally justifiable.

I almost wished they would do it in reverse. Play KL and LMA tonight- hope for diminished minutes and not travel tomorrow.
