Checking Wrapsnet this morning, here is a summary of the refugees admitted to Hawaii in the last 14 years, 5 months and 10 days:
Of the total 123 refugees they “welcomed” to Hawaii, the largest number (66) were Vietnamese who came in the early years (FY03,04,05). Another 40 were Burmese (most Burmese are Christians). Only 5 from any Middle East country came. In 2004, 1 Iranian was resettled there and in 2013 they got a grand total of 4 Iraqis. None of the thousands of Syrians admitted to the US in the last 2 years were seeded in Hawaii
A smattering of Russians and Ukrainians were placed there over the years.
There were no refugees sent to Hawaii at all in FY11 and last year
Time to put Hawaii at the top of the list for the refugee resettlement program.

Well, not quite now. First it has to go to appeals, then if appeals sides with the judge, they can then go to the SCOTUS. The other route is through conflicting rulings.

I don't think the cases are necessarily the same since the EOs are different. The question is if the Executive rescinded the first EO (I'm unaware), but regardless, this would be a new case.

He should just stick with Syria. That's where the refugee problem is coming from and courts calling it a religious test wouldn't have a leg to stand on there. And accepting Syrian refugees likely isn't very popular in this country anyways. As much as I hate Trump I support not accepting Syrian refugees and it's one of the things I hated most about Obama and Clinton.

Well, it'll go through the court system. It shouldn't take THAT long. IMO, the appeals court has better grounds to lift the TRO in this particular instance, but we'll see.
