we need him last night...he is better suited with the slower unit with Aldridge out there...but mills is much better suited with the faster unit with ball movement...same goes with green

The team missed him more on defense than on offense. Parker is still a poor defender but Mills is garbage against starters on that end.

If Gasol hadda played 25 minutes we win. If Danny hadn't shit his pants every quarter we win.

It's true. We lacked a second option at pg. Mills played well but Forbes makes Neal look like of he was Ray Allen.
Murray or Parker would have been great giving Patty a breather.

This is actually the most accurate take from last nights game.

Definitely missed some smart PG play & having D murray offers a taller/better defender to throw at portland gaurds instead of Forbes & Patty

If Gasol hadda played 25 minutes we win. If Danny hadn't shit his pants every quarter we win. Pau hit 3 of 8 point blank bunnies. Compared to Danny he was great-shooting 50% in all and 100% from the 3. He did miss some easy shots and was not happy with himself. Why he didn't play more in the end is a good question.

It's more about free throw differential (or if no differential, then free throw percentage). If you want to find the unifying factor in the Spurs losses, start there.

Kawhi can't get it done without the alpha male head of the snake dragging him by his member.

The Spurs scored more than enough points to win that game. They lost because they had absolutely no answer for Lilliard and CJ McCollum. You can make of that whatever you want to, but when the Spurs score 106 they should win.

This is why Kawhi has no case for Defensive Player of the Year.

LOL. Danny, Patty, Pau, Forbes. Heard of 'em? It doesn't help that other teams have figured out this switch-everything strategy, and how to exploit it. Whether Kawhi wins it or not, he's definitely got a case for it. He's a defensive badass. Period.

I've been a Danny fan since the first pre-season game he played in. But he's not the defensive stopper he once was. Some of it is the system, which I'm really starting to hate. Maybe a lot of it. But when you're a 3-and-D guy, and you aren't shooting the 3? You really need to shine on the D. He's okay, but he needs to be great. Bruce Bowen would have shut down one of those two guys last night - or at least made him really inefficient. Doing that to one of them would have been enough.

I heard boban is injured due to bench sores since he's been planted to it all year. Change your name to "pray for boban." god mandating it is the only thing that will convince svg to do so.

Agreed. At a point they fell into trading baskets and couldn't keep up.

Right, but you can't say someone sucks in the playoffs when there's only 30 guys in the history of the NBA that have one of these.

I think we can safely say he will probably suck (or politely, "ineffective") in the upcoming playoffs. I hope not. I just want him to be healthy and stay under control. But even with a healthy Parker, the Spurs might have the worst backcourt in the Western Conference playoffs.

Gasol played 18 minutes and what Blazer could match him defensively? Pop is really underplaying him. I am fine with him coming off the bench but he has to get more minutes. Pau is also good from the FT line and would have been an asset there as well. There is no reason to play him so little esp with LMA rusty as a nail.

They always mean in the present. He's just not the same anymore. No shame, everybody ages.

Agreed. He's still the beast and readiest PG the Spurs have.
