By popular I mean favourite player, more talk within the younger generation etc.
But relative to Tim Duncan "fame" or mainstream younger generation "favourite" player Tim Duncan's peak is not even close and thats when Tim has proven he can win a ring as a lead guy.
Ginobili for example, was actually a more "popular" player among HS students or the younger generation. Just look at NBA players today, Ginobili gets more "love" from some of the best players in the league than Tim Duncan.

Leonard might very well be the most "popular" Spur ever...Only Trailing Manu Ginobili for now who despite only playing two All-Star game seems to be a bigger fan favorite than Duncan and most likely Robinson.
Ginobili would have easily been the biggest fan favourite had he played more, but Ginobili had Marketabiliy potential that wasn't fully appraoched because Tim was the lead guy.
