Even at home he's been bad outside the Houston game since the ASB.

Should be a 14-15 point lead. Terrible offensive execution by the Spurs. Love the defensive energy but if the T'Pups calm down a bit on that end they'll find the looks needed to win. Spurs need to find consistent offensive cohesion to win this.

Pesky D.
Caused a bunch of TOs
We got a lot of FT because we attacked.
Should be further ahead if we had not missed 4-5 FT?
And had some bad TOs ourselves.

They scrapped on defense but really wolves made a lot of mistakes. They really shot themselves in the foot so to speak. KAT got in foul trouble over rebounds though... good job Dedmon there.

Kawhi 3 ball motion hasn't looked as smooth this season-- and it actually started to go south in the Thunder series..I thought he could settle in 40-42% range, but it looks like he's trending way down to his early career percentages..

Kawhi shoots 46% from 3 at home, 32% on the road.
I posted that same stat a few weeks ago. Is that an updated stat? I would have thought both his home and road percentage would be lower since those numbers are almost the same as what I saw 2-3 weeks ago, and since then I feel like he's been shooting even worse.

Like I said, Minny only needed to calm down and they could start generating offense. Spurs need to maintain the nice rhythm they've started to generate on the offensive end and hope Kawhi can come back and close this one out.

If only! But there is no way.
If we think about gettable guys I like Tyus Jones. They have too many PG and he's not playing enough but he has game. Still in a rookie deal and young. ... Spurs likely not even looking in that direction though bc RC standing pat.

Damn, some people here are going to be pissed we won this game.
Im happy.
But the writing is again plastered to the wall.
We lack a PG.
Danny Green can't dribble or handle to save his life.
Patty is a small 2.
Manu is 39.
Murray is a twig and inexperienced.
We really hurt at guard.

Not sure how "pat" PATFO can afford to stand. I am beginning to have some hope that Tony will not be a Spur next season. It is not good when your starting PG is either injured or ineffective.

He
was awful...
but I am glad Simmons had a good game TBH. He gave quality minutes... and is starting to hit the outside shot.
Davis isn't ready for the playoffs though.
Yep. It looked that Simmons just needs to shot without thinking.

What is it about the T-Wolves at home? We should've blown them out tonight.
A win is a win, though.

I think you are not trained in the art of taking about the head of the snake.
He it's either injured, or playing brilliant basketball.
There is no such thing as ineffectiveness.

HaHa! Yeah, both Tony and Manu are capable of "brilliant" games. Unfortunately those games are about one out of every 5 they play. Both need to go.

If we really think about it without an agenda: he's getting benched for Patty at the end of games when Spurs need a shooter, bc the ball is going to be in Kawhi's hands anyways, and Patty's off the ball play is more valuable. He's also getting benched for Simmons for brief stretches for defensive possessions in no PG lineups bc again the ball is going to be in kawhi's hands and Simmons is a better defender.
Tony's situation is inconsistent and sad. I know the player hate crew loves these games to get on and on about it.... but in reality it's sad. he's paid a heck of a lot, and is not looking like a starting caliber player nightly. He's not going to retire. It's now going to be how and when can you play him, manage his minutes, etc... and what to do in the offseason about guard play.

As I said a few days ago, that is a real tragedy for Dijon and for the Spurs and this season. Nobody league-wide will ever appreciate how big a break this is for them.

There is just very little justification for tying up the money and the roster spot on a guy like you described. If his name weren't Tony Parker, I don't think there would be any question; the guy would be gone. No basketball justification, just slight emotional justification. I think he could become a real locker room cancer, and may be already. Why does this team appear to groan before every tip-off? Seriously, it isn't just ennui. This team seems to regard having to take the floor as a chore. I said it earlier in the season, and I still believe there is some stuff going on behind the scenes with this team.

Could be veteran stuff. The young guys are having fun, cheer each other. Manu is always Manu... Patty is a great teammate.
Pau tends to bark at young players, but he accepted the benching and is playing well.
If there are issues it has to be one of the vets.

My favorite thing about these Tony Parker comments is that everyone is projecting this attitude that he's an arrogant dick. Wouldn't it have been made known by a former player or wouldn't we have some kind of report? Yet, the Spurs machine hums along quietly, drama free.

The issue is this season. It isn't what he was like when he was a star, but what is he like now that he is a cratered star. I obviously don't know, but I have doubts.

Yea, that's kinda crazy. I kno people will think what they want about TP, and think because he's not always smiling and acting like Patty then he's a bad teammate.. but that isn't true.
I'd be shocked if there's any locker room issues with this team.

I was wondering if this team decided to bet against themselves in Las Vegas, or are being blackmailed by someone to get into 12 point holes against crappy teams. But they won't, so I'm ok for now.

the first half defense of the Pups was really good ... if Thibs would be allowed to switch benches so he could yell his defensive instructions for 48minutes, they could be scary ...

sleeping with your teammate's wife falls under the bad teammate category.
